They forgot to make one of the items I ordered for delivery. I called and was told they would send someone in 10-15 minutes with the missing item. Gave them my address, name, and phone number and told them to call when they arrive, I live in the back and don't have a door buzzer. Called back a half hour later and was told the guy was going to be there in like one second. I then called back 20 minutes later and was told the guy was there but no one was home. I said the guy is supposed to call but was told the guy forgot his phone. After almost an hour from when they said I would get the rest of my order I eventually got the missing item, Yaba's combination. Combination was ok. The chicken was cold and dry. The gyro meat seemed like your standard gyro meat. The kofta was pretty good but a little cold. They wanted to make up for forgetting about the combination plate and included a lentil soup, and a spinach pie, both pretty good. I liked the lentil soup and the spinach pie was only ok.
Correction: They didn't forget to make the order, they said they failed to see the Yaba's combination on the ticket.
Update: I've been here several times since and had excellent food...
Read moreI popped into town yesterday and needed something quick for dinner. My brother recommended this place on our last visit and now I know why. The food was fantastic! It was the best chicken shawarma I’ve ever had. But that’s not all. The young men who run the store were so hospitable and friendly. They gave me a cup of lentil soup to eat while I waited for my order. Note that I did not ask about the soup. They just handed me a cup. Not a taste. A whole cup of soup. They said it was cold outside so I should have some. Yum. I ordered about 10 different items to try from the menu and was surprised by how inexpensive it was. I had ordered carry out. When they rang me up, they asked if I wanted a receipt. I said sure. It didn’t even have a tip line on it. Refreshing not to be burdened with that moral dilemma of whether or not to tip for carry out just because everyone is now “offering” the option. But in this case, I gladly would have. This place is a gem in more ways than one. To the gentlemen who assisted me- Thank you both for a delightful dinner and visit to your restaurant. I’ll be back next time…every time we...
Read moreWhere to begin?! We were recently recommended this place by a friend in the neighborhood and checked it out immediately. SO DELICIOUS! But let's break this down: The food is fabulous and fresh! Hands down, you cannot beat the authentic and homemade taste of Middle Eastern food. We will absolutely be coming back for more! Looking forward to eating my way through the menu!! We had the falafel sandwich and the chicken schwarma sandwich, lentil soup and fresh spinach pita - everything was phenomenal! We love supporting local businesses whenever possible. This is a family owned/operated business. The shop has existed for several years already and the kitchen is a new endeavor. I love the idea of being able to pick up a few essentials from a neighborhood shop and grab some delicious food, all in one place. It's a business that I am happy to give my money to!
Lovely family running the place!
Check this place out right away!! And pick up a few groceries while you're...
