American Deli — Restaurant in West Columbia

You get good value for your money here. I eat here every 2-3 weeks. My favorite thing to order is the beef Philly cheesesteak and wings. The servings are large and the food is always hot when I receive it, but the service is slow if you pick it up, even when you call ahead. While I prefer to pick up my food myself, I have found that I get my food faster when I order using DoorDash or UberEats. Crazy how I can go in person and order food but I’d be better off using a delivery service (where the listed prices are higher and I also have to tip the driver). Despite this, I feel like it’s worth it given the servicing sizes and flavor of the cheesesteak. Other than that I have no complaints about this establishment. I hate that I had to give this 1 star to leave a review. This was my first experience with this restaurant, and I wouldn't send my dog to eat there! The customer service was terrible and threw so called manager could barely speak English, which wouldn't be a big deal if he wasn't trying to be nasty in English. Advised that the order was incorrect, but he refused to correct the order or give a refund. No, I'm sorry, just rude with paint everywhere, including his clothes and hands and a ladder that I had to maneuver around by the counter. I was about to go to subway when I saw this place and decided to give it a try. I absolutely love everything I've tried from here and I've had like half the menu now. I highly recommend the gyro, and the beef Philly cheese steak. Also if you get the wings I highly recommend the family gold sauce. Don't forget to load your fries up with seasoning before you leave. I didn't expect to like it so much but now they're one of my favorite places on broad river....
