WestSide Bar & Grill — Restaurant in West Conshohocken

Woooof. I walked in and the tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife. Something was happening with the kitchen staff/servers/manager.

The vibe was awful, but it was 8:15 and most things close around 9/10 according the google maps- so I had to just deal with it.

It also doesn’t help that it seems the whole place has an identity crisis. Black and white tile floor but then lots of pretty wood and then like a newish marble bar? Nothing worked together. I also think the reviews and pics on google are a bit confusing as I think some are for the former tavern.

Only a few patrons in the restaurant, but the servers seemed annoyed to help. Every time the server came over to take my order- she was rushed and irritated- even though the place was not busy. It was a very bizarre experience. Not enjoyable at all.

Ordered the Cocktails To-Go and was highly disappointed. Half of the items on the menu were discontinued so we didn't even get the selection of drinks we wanted. When we got home, the disappointment continued. We pulled out the drinks and the Spicy Margarita (at least we think because the drink didn't come with a label like the rest of them) was tremendously under-poured compared to the other 3 drinks. I was in communication with them already through an Instagram Direct Message so I expressed my disappointment and they simply read my message and didn't respond (Instagram tells you when a message has been seen). If you're going to charge someone $64 for 4 drinks, at least have the decency to provide equally poured drinks. They clearly don't care about their patrons so I will definitely never...

I had been wanting to come to West Side for months. I had looked at the pictures online and looked good. I went with my buddy and his wife and we ordered drinks and then food. My buddy got the chicken cheesesteak and his wife got double smash burger. They both said they were amazing. I knew I had wanted to try the southern fried chicken sandwich. It was probably the best sandwich I’ve ever had. I’ve traveled a lot for work in the past and tried a lot of places out. The sandwich was amazing. Got it with waffle fries. Our waitress Isabella was awesome. I can’t say enough about their food and service. I lived in Manayunk for 15 years and the food at West Side was better than most places I’ve ever been in the city.
