Cafe Donuts and smoothies — Restaurant in West Covina

Visited my hometown and was excited to re-visit this place.

I thought it closed during Covid? The inside is pleasant and taken care of. Thai tea tastes how it did 20 years ago! The food was good.

I’m rating it low because of the service and hostile atmosphere.

I’m a strong believer in supporting local businesses. Especially when you’re visiting the community.

Owner displayed confusion whether I paid my bill. It appears there’s a lack of training and acquaintance with store technology.

When explaining how this place was apart of my childhood and this interaction was unprecedented.

Owner was dismissive, defensive, took personal attacks, and walked away?

Grabbed a milk tea with boba and Carmel drizzle. It was delicious. Their donuts are pretty good. The selection now is minimal on the varieties they have. They do custom donut creations for that special occasion. Since the croissant sandwiches are not pre-made you have a good selection to choose from. Their smoothies come in a wide variety of flavors. My gf accidentally forgot to ask for soy milk when she ordered her smoothie and when we realized what happened she had already taken a few sips of it. We asked the lady if there was anything we could do to get the right drink and she very rudely said "you have to pay for it again because it's not my fault". I wouldnt have minded paying for another if we had to but just the rude way she said it was completely uncalled for.
