I was picking up a door dash order and my order was sitting on the counter. Everyone was busy and I get that, but I usually confirm with someone that works there and then grab my order and leave. I waited in line patiently because the workers took a while to help the people in front of me due to food prepping for other online orders. Looks like they were understaffed since there was only 2 at the front counter. I had seen my order with my name on it. Before grabbing it, I just wanted to confirm and it also had instructions with a sign on the table that says let an associate know and someone will help you. I didn’t want to cut the front of the line, but luckily this lady that works there was going into the kitchen. I said, “excuse me” just to show her that I was picking up the order and she flung her hand at me as if to say “go away, fly” muttering under her breath, and continued to proceed into the kitchen. I was utterly shocked and said out loud “are you $%!*ing kidding me?” I immediately grabbed my food and left. Rude and ugly attitude. Never have I been so disrespected at a restaurant in my life. The pork chop with rice wasn’t even as good as the Covina location. Gross and disgusting customer service! They should really re-hire people for staff. No wonder they have bad reviews and unfortunately I had seen the bad reviews last minute. Never...
Read more2nd time I ate here this week. For what seems to be a fast food pho spot, this place hits the spot and it's super fast. Their chicken noodle soup hits the spot especially when your sick as I was. Super cheap too being only around 5 bucks for the bowl. It came with a ginger dipping sauce that was just amazing with the chicken, it's like hanam chicken but instead of rice you have pho broth and noodles. There is a small self serve spot for water and your pho condiments (Jalapenos, bean sprouts, lime). Egg rolls, at least during the times I went, were a bit over done but still taste great especially lettuce wrapped and dipped in sauce. Sandwhiches were on par with other popular Vietnamese sandwhiches, nothing too fancy there. The drinks are your typically milky sugary teas, some being buy one get one. You order in line first like a typical fast food restaurant and serve yourself once you get your food. Overall experience makes it seem like a hole in a wall spot though I believe it's a franchise with spots all over Cali. I would recommend it for a quick cheap great...
Read moreSome people meal prep—I just go to BMC once a week. Every Monday night, on my way to bowling, I swing by for my usual banh mi fix. This place is my go-to for a quick, no-fuss dinner that always hits the spot. They know me here. I walk in and they’re already prepping my usual: beef banh mi, extra veggies, extra jalapeños.
The sandwich is just right—not too big, not too small—perfect for a light dinner. For around $7.75 to $8, it's a great deal. Fresh bread, flavorful beef, good crunch from the veggies. Straightforward, no-frills, and satisfying every time.
The ladies running the place are friendly and fast, and best of all—parking is easy. It’s at the front of Haven City Market, so you can pull in and be out in minutes. As someone who avoids tight parking lots like emotional conversations, I deeply appreciate that.
It’s not a fancy sandwich, but it’s a very good one. If you’re into classic banh mi done right and priced right, this place is worth adding to your regular rotation. I give it a solid 4 stars—and that’s coming from someone who’s there...
