Parking: The restaurant is conveniently located inside a plaza with 24 parking spots available (2 parking spots are reserved for the liquor store. It has green paint on the curb that says "5 min parking" and 1 wheelchair accessible blue parking). However, even if the parking lot is full, there is street parking available on S Glendora Ave right next to it.
Service: Upon entering Sweety Hut Thai, we were warmly greeted by Ken, our server for the night. Ken provided exceptional customer service throughout our dining experience, making us feel welcomed and attending to our needs. His friendly service and attentiveness added to the overall positive dining experience.
Atmosphere: The place is easily identifiable within the plaza, thanks to the big "Thai Restaurant" sign on the building. The interior was clean and well-maintained, creating a pleasant ambiance for diners. The restaurant was semi-empty, which may have been due to the drizzly weather or the late hour.
Food & Pricing: Sweety Hut Thai offers a wide selection of Thai dishes to choose from. We ordered the Pad Thai combo, which came with fried wonton, salad, fried rice, and a complimentary veggie soup (only for dine-in) priced at $12.45. The Tom Yum soup, customizable in spice level (Mild/Medium/Hot/Extra Hot), also priced at $11.95, was particularly delicious. Additionally, we enjoyed the Pad See Ew with chicken for $11.95. It's worth noting that a 15% service charge applies for groups of 6 or more. Overall, the food was above average and budget-friendly priced.
Overall: Sweety Hut Thai is a solid choice if you're craving Thai food. The combination of excellent service (Ken is the man!), budget-friendly pricing, and tasty dishes make it a worthwhile dining experience. This places closes at 10pm so whether you're a late-night eater or looking for a place to satisfy your Thai food cravings, this restaurant offers a welcoming atmosphere and a menu with plenty of options to choose from.
Attached are pictures of the outside building and inside. I have also attached the menu which has a lot of options to choose from as well as the food we ordered.

We had a wonderful meal at Sweety Hut Thai! From the moment we arrived, the service was kind and attentive, and the ambiance felt inviting and cozy. The menu is extensive, offering everything from flavorful curries to fresh salads and delicious appetizers.
We started with Chicken Satay and Fried Wontons—both were tasty, well-seasoned, and a great way to whet the appetite. The chicken satay came with a rich peanut sauce, and the fried wontons had just the right amount of crisp.
For entrees, we went with a curry and also tried the Pad Thai Noodles. The curry was creamy, fragrant, and full of fresh ingredients; the Pad Thai was balanced in sweetness, spice, and texture, with plenty of fresh vegetables and noodles cooked just right.
Dessert was a sweet finish—something like Mango sticky rice, which was perfect. Light, not overly heavy, and the mango was ripe and juicy.
Overall, Sweety Hut Thai delivered on authenticity and flavor. If you’re craving Thai in the West Covina / San Gabriel Valley area, this place is a gem. Fresh ingredients, strong flavors, great service, and a menu with lots of variety....
Read moreThis is a small, casual restaurant with a relaxed feel. They are very welcoming and polite. I had the red curry with tofu and vegetables, which was very good. The egg rolls (4 in an order) were small and crispy, and fairly good, but not the best. I felt they were a little overpriced. My drink was hot Jasmine tea. The curry was by far the tastiest item. It was thin, like a soup. I've had Thai curries that were thick, but read that the thin consistency is authentic. At the end, the waitress boxed up the leftovers, even the egg roll sauce into a tiny container. It was about $24. plus the tip. If you enjoy Thai food in a casual atmosphere, I recommend this place.
