😡😡😡😡Worst service I have had in a long time, the server José took an hour to bring our food, then to say the kitchen just informed him that there is no more Menudo. Then, to make matters worse, our waiter has not come back to take my order, and my family is almost finished with their food. My mom is still waiting for the tortillas, and she is almost finished with her dish. I should have known this place was no good. I asked for cafe de olla, and our waiter José said they ran out.
When they sat us down, they came over and asked us to move to another table. We said sure.
We keep trying to flag him down, and he is ignoring us.
Thankfully, the female waitress came to take my order and make sure to take the Menudo off our bill.
What they should do to accommodate me as a customer is to give me my meal for free for this inconvenience of not having the food and drink I ordered and the long wait.
It's been another 30 min wait for my second dish. Still no food and José our waiter is blaming the long wait on the kitchen.😡😡😡😡😡😡
Another note is that the ladies' restoom is dirty, with no toilet paper and...
Read moreWent on a Saturday. Wait was over an hour to be seated . Many patrons waiting to be seated were making jokes about leaving or is this place even worth it. Server was distracted or disinterested in bringing us flatware , or even refilling water glasses . Had to keep asking her for water , that is when she wasn't obviously ignoring our attempts to get her attention. Waited another 30 to 40 minutes for a bowl of menudo and French toast. Though same orders around us received theirs within ten minutes. Had to point out on the menu three times for French toast. Then the server also pointed on the menu at the French toast. She wrote it down , walked away , then came back to ask us again what we ordered because she forgot . Menudo was filled with tripe , perhaps a bit too much tripe, and hardly any hominy it . Just a sprinkle of toppings were given to accompany the soup . Broth was delicious . Biscuits and gravy are over priced considering they don't add any sausage to the gravy. $7 for two small doughy biscuits and...
Read moreThis place was busy on a Sunday but we were led to a table in no time. Our Server Lissette asked about our drinks while we looked at the menu. The Cafe De Olla came up in a few of the reviews so I had to have it, while my son got the hot chocolate. When our drinks arrived, he then ordered the sausage breakfast burrito and I got the Penny’s special for. He enjoyed the burrito. The bacon was not crispy and the eggs were over-easy. I mentioned I wanted the bacon extra crispy and the eggs over hard. But, I hate sending my food back. The pancakes were soft and slightly sweet, I honestly didn’t need to add syrup. The Cafe de Olla was the best that I have ever had. I was thankful I did not get the flavored pancakes as it would’ve been too sweet all around. Service was friendly. It’s a chill family type diner that’s good for small as well as large groups. Parking is tough during weekends...
