Tierra Mia Coffee Drive Thru — Restaurant in West Covina

It's a cozy little cafe, awesome place for a drink or pastry at great prices. Even though other people say it's a good place for studying or hanging out with friends, I wouldn't recommend it, at least not on a Friday afternoon. When I went there to hang out and study with a friend, it was packed, and while no one was speaking unreasonably loudly, the combination of the music and all the people talking made it virtually impossible for us to hear each other. So I don't think you can study here unless you come in the morning or late at night.

The service was great: the servers greeted us as soon as we walked in and answered any questions we had about the menu. Unfortunately, they don't offer plant-based milk or substitute milk options, so I got a muffin but nothing to drink since I wanted a creamy cold drink but I'm lactose intolerant. I don't recommend this place for fellow lactose intolerant people or vegans, although it should be fine as long as you're just getting coffee/hot drinks. I regularly visit this place, and the food and drinks are usually great. However, my experience on 12/30/24 from around 9:00 to 11:30 PM was extremely upsetting due to rude treatment by the staff.

After waiting 10 minutes for my drink, I approached the counter and was curtly told, "That's not yours," without any clarification on which drink was mine. Assuming it hadn’t been made, I sat back down. Later, when I asked again, another employee said, "I called it for a long time over and over." I explained that I don't hear well, but she repeated her comment and spoke to coworkers while glancing at me, leaving me embarrassed and in tears.

As someone who is hard of hearing, the lack of assistance and dismissive attitude felt ableist. My companions, who hear well, also didn’t hear my name called, and I suspect it may have been written incorrectly. Even so, there was no need for such hostility.

While I enjoy the food here, this treatment makes me uncomfortable...

The CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. my family, friends and I keeps saying the same things. Many times the baristas look unhappy and their even rude to each other. They create a unhealthy and toxic environment.

We notice as customers your just throwing out coffees with no smile. To pay 8.00 for a coffee abd the bare minimum attitude is terrible.

MANAGER. Look at your reviews and I would address unfriendly customers service it is bad that I have to go to Starbucks and coffee bean because your baristas are itchy. No excuse for that when we're in inflation and spending money here. There are times when I spend 20.00 from just coffees and pastries.
