I only go there for the honey bacon club sandwich... And probably a good thing to. Looking around at their in shop ads and signage. ... It seemed as though Quiznos is becoming more electronic and cold as far as a normal warm friendly face to face people greeting you get at other food places in comparison. The workers seemed more all business stiff... Hurry up and make your sandwich and boot you out the door as quick as possible, barely asking you if you would like anything else-felt like i was begging for items I wanted with my sandwich and then when I asked for a little more dressing on the side she pointed out that there would be an additional charge for that. I thought that was a bit overboard-.39¢for a side of dressing! And your no longer get a punch card for each sandwich you purchase. It's all done via the pre order app and you have to pre order to get your credit for your purchase-the only way to earn credit for frequenting their sub shop. For some this might seen nice.. One less punch card to keep track of, but for me i decide on the fly where i want to eat and don't want to sit around punching up my order on an app when all i have to do is walk right in the door and order from the person standing behind the counter... And yes o would gladly keep track of where i put that punch card since the last time I was there! Sorry, I'm not ready to go full cyber yet! I still believe in a warm personal human greeting face to face and sure I'll entertain a little chit chat with the employees while they make my food... Even if it's just to entertain their day as...
Read moreWith no Quiznos in Omaha I like to grab a sandwich as I drive through Des Moines. Last time I stopped there I asked for mayo to be added to my sandwhich. After I asked, the employee said people don't generally add mayo. I asked a second time if I could please add some mayo and he pointed to the ordering sign and said the sandwich doesn't come with mayo and wrapped it up and handed it to me.
Update a year later So I figured I'd give this place another shot as I really like the steak peppercorn sandwich and the city I live in has no Quiznos. I made it to the final stage of adding toppings to my sandwich, this is where it went south last time. I asked for mayo to be added and was informed that they would do it this time but it costs an extra 39 cents. Really?.....39 cents for a squeeze of mayo...
Read moreI placed a pick up order at 6:45 requesting it be ready by 7:25, giving them 10 minutes more than their 30 minute standard. I wasn't able to get there until 7:35, an additional 10 minute reprieve.
When I arrived, my order hadn't been started or even printed out. They completely ignored me until I asked if they had received my order when one of the staff walked up to ring the register. I was standing next to it in the specified Pick Up location. They served all 5 people first who walked in with me before they started my order at 7:50, an hour and 5 minutes after order placement.
The food was good. But my order was well before any of the walk in customers. They should have honored my placement time or at least worked me into the mix, not made me wait...
