I really wanted to give this place a 5 star review...and it was close - but I couldn't because there was an error with our order. Tony our server was training another gal and when we ordered food we said we wanted to start with an order of edamame...which never came. Then we ordered an eel role which was supposed to be with cucumber and it came with Avocado. Otherwise, the place is amazing with super nice decor and friendly staff. Sushi was good but not AMAZING. I'll probably be back - but not any time soon. We ordered 2 specialty rolls and 2 regular and our total was $85 for two people.

I hadn’t been to Wasabi in a while, but it’s still just as neat and tidy as I remember. The food was fresh and well-prepared. The kimchi fish appetizer was especially creative and delicious. Sushi rolls were classic and reliable. The orange chicken, though, wasn’t as good as before—the breading was too thick, though the sauce was still just as tasty. Our server seemed a bit listless and tired, but overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Sooo excited West Des Moines now has a Wasabi Tao. A tribute to the original location DT. This experience at this new location was amazing. The sushi was killer with outstanding service, highly recommend the pork ramen. Can’t wait to be back!

I don't even know where to start, this place was gorgeous!! Our server was genuinely friendly and helpful. Even the dishes were so nice and modern. We started with drinks; a blood orange margarita and a raspberry Cosmo, both fantastic! For appetizers we had the crispy brussel sprouts and spicy edamame. I'm not big on spicy so I had the brussel sprouts, and they really were crispy and cooked with bits of pork and this amazing sauce! I ordered the sesame chicken which was just perfection, tasted super fresh and even had some crunch to it. I subbed my steamed rice for fried and man was it good! Oh I also chose the salad instead of soup and I don't know what the dressing was but I wanted to lick the bowl. Everything was amazing and I will definitely be back...

Stoked wasabi opened here and we no longer have to go to waukee for our favorite fried rice. If I could figure out how to cook it like they do, I wouldn't have to order here, but I simply can't. It's magical fried rice. The steak is so tender as well. The dumplings are solid and the sauce is immaculate. Ordered takeout for the first time, we usually come in and sit at the Waukee location. Takeout came in a super nice recyclable bag that kept our food nice and hot. Food was also ready in 15 minutes. Enough ranting about the fried rice, I'm sure everything else is as good as the Waukee location as we've had plenty from here. Love it and...

We sat at our table for 10 mins and no one came to assist us. 3 servers walked by and there were two hostess upfront and yet no one cared to assist us. The place is hardly occupied. There was a couple of people at the bar and two table sat near to where we were. My kids wanted sushi and I was excited to try this place now that is located near us. I’m very disappointed with the lack of service. When we left we informed them we were leaving and the reason why the hostess and a server who chatting with them seemed surprised but come on no one bothered to come to us and help us? Management had a big problem in...
