Joey's Pizza Pie — Restaurant in West Hartford

My boss really likes the pizza and pasta at this place, so we order takeout lunch from here quite frequently. I have to say that in the past 3-6 months that their food quality has gone downhill noticeably. The sauce for the alfredo pasta dish that used to be my favorite there has recently become the consistency of plaster. So I have switched my more recent orders to the penne alla vodka. My most recent experience, which has me writing this review, was one of great disappointment. As I have several times recently, I ordered the Penne a la Vodka lunch special, and their menu description of the dish is as follows (copied directly from their website) "Our version of a classic. Tomato, heavy cream, La Quercia prosciutto, minced shallots, red pepper flakes and vodka." When I opened my take out container and began eating, It was immediately clear that there was no proscuitto in the dish. When I later questioned the mistake, the girl on the phone simply said "oh they just don't put that in anymore" when pressed that the item is listed on the menu she said that she knows it is on the menu, but that they simply have chosen to no longer include the prosciutto in the dish. No apologies, no attempt to rectify the matter, just a statement that whoever makes the decisions regarding the menu items has decided to omit proscuitto now. I believe that this was a poor decision on the part of whoever it was that made that decision. It was a disappointment and I will no longer be ordering...

Very disappointed food not to your standard order. Very cold once received and even with you placing a call to inform them on the way you wanted your order to be put in the oven as I wanted my food hot.

Hate to say negative feedback is the place is do for a uplifting facelift do to there is an odor in the extablisment of like old wood and furniture. If they work on giving the place a renovation then the place indeed will be to standard and more appealing. My first time eating in and that indeed discouraged me from wanting to go back.

Remember next door they are doing just that and indeed business is going to be a challenge.

The price for the Fried Mozzarella, is a bit to high for the quantity $10.99 this has to go down.

They also need to hire people that speak English or have those that don't go to school to learn the language company paid because a language barrier is no excuse for the lack of communication and your order not being followed through the way your customers requested...

I was charged for someone else order, Then upon me requesting proof of order I was actually supposed to pay for, The lady working the cash register gave me a attitude stating she made a mistake, I simply told her that I would feel better if I could get proof that I was gonna be refunded so I asked for all receipts for my record, in case they tried to dispute it or bank needed exact amount to be disputed etc, I enjoy their pizza but like anyone else, I don’t care to be purchasing more than what I am supposed to be paying for.. I literally felt like she was trying to act like I was responsible for her not being able to ring me out for the right order, So my card was charged for both orders.. I hope it gets refunded sooner than later, I don’t play...
