Great vegan pizza, open late.
I had rated this place five stars. Above was my previous review. After tonight, I'm giving one star, which I hate to and rarely do, but right now it is needed. People should know not to order around this time and definitely not from Uber Eats. I ordered from Uber Eats. I've ordered from and eaten here many times. Today I ordered two cheese pizzas, same size, different toppings. the food arrived and one pizza was noticeably much larger than the other. The chicken and broccoli one tasted horrible and only one bite was eaten. The pizza was ordered well done and was soft but tasted stale at the same time. It was soggy and had barely any sauce or toppings. The other pizza, the vegan one I ordered, was also bad, the flavor was off, I ordered it well done and it was soft and soggy, there was not enough sauce. Besides being vegan, I'm not a picky eater and will eat almost anything that's vegan, but this pizza was a no go. Both pizzas arrived cold even though they arrived pretty quickly, so I don't understand that. I called the restaurant, and a manager or maybe the owner, Patty was extremely nice and apologized and if I had ordered from their app she would have been able to refund me. However, I contacted Uber eats and sent a photo and picked from the few options they offer to describe the problem and they instantly said they would not refund me. Then I appealed, or whatever their process is, their denial and now I'm sure I'll have to wait several days to get an email saying I either get a zero or $5 coupon when I paid $53 for two inedible pizzas. As I said, I have eaten and ordered from here many times and I have never had this problem. It is insane that I am expected to pay this much money for food that can't be eaten. Very disappointed, especially with the customer service at Uber eats. As for Savoy, mistakes happen, occasionally a bad pizza may be made, and they had great customer service on the phone. Even so, I don't see how these pizzas got out of the kitchen looking as they did. They were visibly soggy with barely any sauce and did not look good, and were two different sizes. They were definitely slap-dashed together before close. I don't think I'll order from here again, at least definitely not...

Wait time - they told 20 minutes on a packed night, it was less than 15 minutes.
Service - Melissa S. Was flawless, very caring while never smoothering us. Because of her alone, we're going to come back every 2 weeks. ( Just to keep it special )
Cocktails - very intelligently crafted, they came out with the pie. normally I would deduct points for that, but when you looked at the finished product... Understandable. My fiance, ordered the pink drink Myself, I ordered the spicy paloma.
The pie - we order the trifling truffle pie, so just to give prospective. It's Neapolitan pizza, which translates to not very big... But the flavor this little guy was packing đ„đ„đ„ Could've knocked me out. Crust - little crunch, not dry and burnt, was still a little chewy. Sauce / cheese / toppings - perfect amount, incredible flavor ( HEY tell the chef I'm coming back there to kiss him )
Third picture - so my Queen was full and holding out for dessert đ But I was still hungry, so I got the prosciutto ricotta toast. That toast... That toast!!! Was completely awesome, I told my fiance that I want one of these everytime I have sex đ I love this app I wanted as meal â€â€â€ rockstar energy
Dessert - soooo the cannoli was out of this world perfect. The shell was super fresh, it didn't fall apart as soon as I bit into it. The filling đ you could have laced it with poison right in front of me, I would have licked my fingers Clean lol. It was so good I asked for a second order of them.
Price - well worth it, we are both satisfied, and happy. You can check out the receipt for yourself if you don't believe me. We gave Melissa $100 and told her to keep the change.
This place is awesome, it's truly amazing what they have managed to accomplish here. Thank you savoy team we'll be back...
Read moreWe visited Savoy in West Hartford for a casual afternoon lunch out, and overall, it was a good experience, but thereâs definitely room for improvement.
Food & Drinks: We started with a âbeer fightâ (beer flight đ), which was fun and offered a nice variety of local brews. The presentation was great, and it gave us a good sampling of what they had on tap.
The garlic bread came out as a small flatbread-style portionâmore like a slim, mini pizza. The flavor was decent, but we expected something heartier or more traditional. It felt more like a side than a starter to share.
We ordered an arugula salad, which had a fresh base but felt incomplete. There were no nuts, fruits, or anything to give it contrast or textureâit lacked that special something to make it pop.
The Margherita pizza was classic and comforting. The crust was crisp and nicely charred, the sauce had a bright tomato flavor, and the cheese was well-balanced. Itâs clear they know how to do their pizzas right.
Ambience & Service: The space itself is trendy and warm, with a modern, urban feel. Service was friendly and timely, though not particularly memorable. The staff did check in occasionally but didnât go out of their way to elevate the experience.
Overall: Savoy is a solid spot if youâre looking for quality pizza and a laid-back vibe. They get the fundamentals rightâespecially with their pizza and beerâbut a few small tweaks (like enhancing the salads, rethinking some starters, and fine-tuning the plating) could really elevate the dining experience. We had a good time and would come back, especially for the pizza, but thereâs...
