We were 8 of us on Saturday and came here for dinner. Beautifully decorated place with ample space for couples as well as large groups and families. Service was very friendly and attentive. Overall place was very clean although bathrooms a tad old.

Between the 8 of us we shared:

Appetizers: Mantoo Bowlani Pakawra

All great taste though too little to be shared.

Mains: Veg dinner with different combinations so we got to try spinach, mushrooms, eggplant, potato and pumpkin. All veggies were really good. Kabuli Palow with lamb and pumpkin. This was good but tad expensive for my opinion. I didn't quite enjoy the lamb though my husband liked it. Chicken kebab with choice of rice and spinach. This was really good. Loved the chicken.

Food overall was good and quite light. The baklava was a mistake at the end. Dry and no taste. That was quite sad :(

But overall, good experience in a large group. Place was...

Well-established. They know what they're doing, the wait staff is on point and attentive. The drinks and cocktails are good. Service is incredible.

Dishes are sort of hit or miss though. A few things off the menu were stellar but a few things are very toned down in terms of seasoning and spice. maybe to accommodate the local palette. Kebabs are hard to do well. Like many kebab places things like chicken and beef cuts tend to be overcooked and sort of hard.

Overall, it's a great place to go for a group dinner because of the vibe, great service, and decent food priced well for that area. But there are a lot of other stand-out Middle Eastern restaurants in Connecticut that focus more...

To try for first time we ordered take-out mixed kebob with spinach rice, eggplant, mantoo w/pumpkin. Delicious, fragrant and divine. The quality of the rice was really special...obviously a rare and high quality. Interestingly enough, tho we loved the chicken and lamb...the ground beef was not our favorite. Oh! Yummy eggplant! and surprising pumpkin puree! So goody! The Mantoo takes the prize for best dish that is both completely exotic AND comforting. The Mantoo is just simply delicious, delicate and delectable! The bread is probably really amazing at the restaurant... What we were given was... well.. not perfect.... Obviously next time we will eat at the restaurant....

Tried this place for dinner and the food was really good! For starters, we had the Bowlani and Mantoo—both perfect for sharing between two. For mains, we tried the chicken kabab, chicken shammi, and beef shammi along with Kabuli pulau. The chicken shammi was definitely the star—soft, succulent, and full of flavor. The beef shammi was a bit dry and tough, but overall the dishes were enjoyable. Ended the meal with rice pudding, which was the perfect finish. The ambience, however, felt a little dated and dimly lit, and the dining area was empty when we visited, making the experience very quiet. Not sure if it gets livelier on weekends, but I’d definitely return for the food!
