I've had this place bookmarked for a while, since I've been seeing great reviews about it. They're on LaSalle St. which is a busy road with a ton of restaurants and shops in West Hartford. We were able to find on-street metered parking nearby. We got there for lunch and was able to get a table outside. The service was quick and friendly. We started off with the crispy pork nuggets ($8) which were super crispy and delectable; it came with sweet hoison sauce and chili flakes for dipping. We also ordered steamed chicken soup dumplings ($9); this came with a sweet soy dipping sauce. I thought this was just okay, there wasn't much soup in it. Next time, I want to try out their chengdu dumplings ($9). We were hungry so we asked the waiter for recommendations and he said braised beef pancake roll ($11) and boy, that was a good recommendation. It was a flaky roll with beef and sweet hoison sauce. Now my main entree was the Dan Dan noodles ($8). They mixed it at the table for me; it had noodles, ground pork, spicy sauce, and baby bok choy. Wow, I can eat a gallon of that lol, 5 stars all the way for that. My husband had the Roujiamo Chinese burger and he said it was okay. Overall, the food was 4.5 stars and the service and ambiance was 5 stars, so I rounded it to 5 stars total. I look forward to going back and trying out some more menu items!

Nice little place and good to have around a bunch of resturant should the other places be busy. The staff was very polite and timely. The inside quiet and relaxing. Kinda plain but oriental feel. The food was great. Got a few different dumplings, pork, chicken, sweet bean paste in a sticky rice dumpling. My mom got a chicken and bell pepper sandwich burger thing. It was interesting but very good for the bite I tried. Kinda like a mix between a biscuit and pita for the bread. I got a spicy Sichuan pork noodle bowl that I loved and so did my daughter. I had gotten her a spicy peanut and sesame noodle bowl thinking it would be less spicy and I was wrong. It was very good... but it has kick. Overall... we were all satisfied and will be going back to try other thing... fyi.. the drink menu is small, so don't expect big options for adult beverages.

I was famish and so felt like eating soup dumplings. Remember that I had walk by this location before and so I wanted to try their soup dumplings. I have to say they are very good and I order the pork and shrimp dumplings separately. And also had their special rice in which it's call something else but anyway it was delicious and the scallion veggie roll pancakes. I was indeed happy I decided to visit for dinner was not disappointed at all. I recommend everyone to try them is in when looking for something not American. This was on a Monday, therefore, it's a little less crowded. But indeed go try their soup dumplings šŸ˜‹

I used to go there frequently as loyal customer and ended up with too many nightmares:

I showed them the water bug crawling on the table next to where my food was sitting, they smushed it in front of me with their bare hands, rinsed their fingers off, and then told me they don’t know about the situation, ā€œit’s only because it’s summer so there’s a lot of bugsā€.

I told them that their beef wasn’t fresh and they grudgingly changed it to something else, while gaslighting me as the only customer that ever had issues with it and ever complained about it.

I ordered the tomato noodle soup and ended up biting into a chunk of tomato that was obviously bad. I notified them of it, and they angrily yelled at me telling me that I didn’t owe anything for the bill, then proceeded to gaslighting me, saying that it was my problem, not theirs.

I went again a few weeks later. They ignored me when I was waiting at the door, then when I picked a table to sit down at, they told me they couldn’t serve me because I always had problems with my food and there was no way that they could make it right, even though I only had problems with my food twice out of the 50+ times I visited them.

Do not give them your business because if something does go wrong, they will gaslight you and refuse...
