Jerri's Luncheonette — Restaurant in West Haven

I can't believe that this Hidden Gem has been down the street and around the corner from me for over 10 years plus!

My son chose this place for his birthday celebration, and 7 of us were able to enjoy the delicious Colombian food that is served here. Everything not only smelled good and looked super delicious, but it Tasted so much better! Every time I took a fork full, my mouth was singing from the flavors it was experiencing. I literally mmmm'd and savored every bite I took. And we all let everyone experience some of each of our dish, since everyone got something different plus an appetizer. The table was excitingly trying everything lol.

You will definitely not be disappointed eating here. Skip four burritos and get takeout or sit in food from Jerry's Luncheonette! Our waitress ( had pretty shiny black hair and pretty eye makeup ), she was awesome, very pleasant, accommodating, and positive. And even when she couldn't completely understand what we were asking, she didn't get an attitude, yet she made sure she got the orders correct and was able 2 answer questions we had.

I was so thrilled to discover this Colombian restaurant in West Haven. My friend and I were starving and in search of a hearty breakfast. Boy, did we get it!😆 The plates at Jerri's are humongous. I wasn't able to finish my Colombian Omelette so I had the rest of it for breakfast the next day. The omelette contained avocados and sausage and was absolutely delicious. The sweet plantains were fried to perfection and were absolutely delicious. The bacon was crispy and done just how I like it. The waffle topped with bananas, ice cream and syrup was the perfect dessert. Our waitress was nice and was doing a great job considering she was serving an entire room of people. My aunt and uncle took me to lunch here yesterday after mentioning my desire for a cheeseburger. As a self-proclaimed connoisseur of burgers, I'm always looking for a new place to grab a tasty one. The sandwich and fries I got at Jerri's was out of this world. The bacon was cooked crispy and to perfection. The roll, buttered and grilled, topped this delicious morsel off. It was busy, but the staff was all attentive and very friendly.

As a side note, my uncle is blind and pushes one of those old school grocery carts when he goes to the store. One day, his cart broke walking home and he stopped into Jerri's to rearrange everything and gain his bearings to complete his walk. The owner stopped what he was doing and loaded my uncle and his things into his car, and drove him home.
