JR's Place — Restaurant in West Haven

Overall the place is nice. However, I don’t like how cliquey the staff is. I was a little upset when I had pay for a cup of water right before I was ready to leave. Some dude, (I think he was the owner or a cook) try to tell me I couldn’t take it out of the restaurant. To prove that it was water, I had asked the waitress (who just made the water for me) to let him know it was just water. The waitress lied and said “Idk, I didn’t make it” and I responded “You was the one who just made it” and she responded with a shoulder shrug. You try to support local and black-owned businesses, but get treated as such. Hopefully I have a better experience next time I go. I just didn’t like this one time. Mediocre service, some bartenders are nice, others dont kno how to work under pressure nd rude n ugly. Too little pool tables, a hassle to get a free one on weekend.
