It was raining hard when we were visiting, and there was a long line stretching outside the restaurant (FYI, it was 2.30 PM). The kitchen pushed food out in record time, though, so the bottleneck seemed to be on the number of cashiers (and they only had two out of four cashier stations manned). I felt bad for those volunteers who had to line up in the rain while their respective families took refuge.
We ordered fried chicken, which was a solid choice. The corn was on point, and the mashed potatoes were warm enough to get my core body temperature down after being out in the rain. The fried chicken reminded me of Mary Brown's, seasoned enough to have good flavours, but needing some ketchup and hot sauce to make it better.
But if you're a Simpson's fan, then you're in your elements. There are seats on the second floor, and if you are fortunate to sit near the TV, then you can watch some short clips while eating. Food price is higher, but you're paying for more than just a meal, but the experience of being part of the universe you only got...

Lots of clean tables, no line up, food was ready quick, and they had some cool clips of the Simpsons playing around (it does loop though so if you stay a while get ready to see the same stuff over and over). We also got to rest a bit and charge our phones.
Ordered the #1 special. 3 pieces of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, 1 corn on the cob, and a biscuit. Everything tasted really good. I love fried chicken and the fact that they had corn was a big plus for me. The mashed potatoes were the weak part of the plate, they weren't that smooth and had potato skin bits in it.
Obviously, this place is expensive for what you get portion wise but quality wise I was...
Read moreMy family and I visited this restaurant today and unfortunately, our experience did not meet expectations. The dishes were not as advertised, which was disappointing. More concerning, however, was that my sister was served a piece of undercooked chicken and accidentally took a bite. As a result, our entire family felt unwell after the meal.
While I chose not to address this at the time, as I didn't want to cause any discomfort, I believe it's important for the restaurant to be aware of these issues. Food safety and quality should always be a priority, especially given the price. I hope this feedback helps improve future experiences for others, but sadly, I wouldn’t feel comfortable recommending this place...
