Ever been to a coffee shop that's a truck in a shop? I couldn't say I had before until I visited Farm Cup Coffee. It has the cutest little bright yellow coffee van which you can spot from a fair bit away! A great photo opportunity too. When we arrived, we were asked if it was our first time here and when we said yes, we were nicely explained the menu (i.e. their default milk is Chobani's oat milk but there are other upgrades such as pistachio milk, etc) then recommended the Poet as being a popular choice as well as the Snickerdoodle latte from the holiday menu. Their base being Chobani's oat milk is actually the main reason we decided to visit as we know we love it and it's no longer sold in Canada. Those were the two beverages we opted for after some debates, one iced and one hot. Both were delicious! The Poet is described to be a honey lavender latte made with double shot of their single origin espresso, 1883 lavender syrup, a touch of honey, steamed milk. It was subtle yet aromatic, while not being too fragrant and/or floral. The Snickerdoodle latte is great for any cinnamon lovers. Both were tasty and high quality. We also couldn't resist trying their bakery items which were selling out fast! We ordered the citrus olive oil cake and WOW, one of the best things I've ever had and that is no exaggeration. Flavor was evident but not too potent and the cake itself was so moist. It's something that I still think about now that my trip to Santa Monica has ended. I highly recommend a visit here and have told others about it! Also bookmarked it for future visits if I ever make a trip there again. Just note, there is not really any seating at this spot besides the two little tables outside so it is more of a grab n' go type coffee shop. For parking, we went for the free street parking at the nearby residential area. Just be careful as parking is free at certain times and days of the week - read carefully as each street is different!

The staff is SUPER friendly. The decor is adorable. The ambiance: wonderful. I do wish there was seating inside so I could charge my phone/computer while working on some stuff, BUT… this coffee is outta this world. I ordered The Explorer. OMGoodness… If not the best latte I’ve ever had, it’s in the top 1% (and we all know how much you LA folk love the top 1%). It’s a bit on the expensive side ($8 for 16 oz), but… 1) it’s LA. 2) they default to oat milk. 3) the beans are all sourced from blah blah blah - you know the deal. 4) the drink was BOMBBB. I’m usually a 2 espresso shot a day kinda guy, but there’s no way I’m leaving here without spending another hour’s worth of minimum wage work on one of their fantastically delicious coffees. NOTE: Minimum wage shouldn’t exist. There, I said it. Eat me (but then wash me down with one of these amazing drinks).

Do you enjoy coffee? Do you like West Hollywood? Do you love yellow buses that go by the name of Sunny? Do you appreciate coffee shop owners that also pull shots behind the bar day in and day out? Even if you answer ā€˜No’ to all of those questions it would be your legit loss if you didn’t swing by and check out the newest addition to the Weho coffee scene. This squad is top notch amazing with a product they source directly from farms (as in THEY DIRECTLY trek to these countries to purchase and support the farms). As for the coffee they offer? Every roast is just as incredible as they are as owners and baristas. Do yourself a favor and give them the chance to be your new ā€œgo-to.ā€ You’re welcome. šŸ™ŒšŸ™ŒšŸ™ŒšŸ™Œ

If you only read one review, read this:

At absolute bare minimum this place is 4/5 stars. The staff is considerate, knowledgeable, and make an effort to get you what you want.

I had to go through and read the 1 star reviews and, frankly, they're ridiculous. This place routinely has a line out the door for a reason. They have great coffee, creative seasonal beverages, and a pretty wide variety despite being such a small location.

For what it is, a coffee truck, I don't expect a sit down cafe with wifi that I can edit at, I expect a place where I can go, get coffee, and leave, and for that it is fantastic. 5 stars, no notes.

These silly people putting 1 star because they're not allowed to let people use the bathroom or because they got something they didn't like and didn't say something unnecessarily drag this place to 4.5 stars when it is EASILY the best coffee on Santa Monica.

Go here, you will not be...
