Arigato Sushi — Restaurant in West Jordan

Just start off with about this review. I absolutely love really good sushi So I am kind of critical when it comes to reviewing sushi. This little place is different as far as what you get for your sushi food it's more like sushi mixed with some kind of Korean barbecue or something else it has very very tasty very unique food. I only wish I had been able to sample more different types of the food. I'm sure now I will have to go back and eat there several times to find out what I really like the best. I took my daughter there for a nice daddy and daughter dinner. I wanted to try out the sushi and I didn't really understand the menu The only problem I had with this whole establishment was the guy who was helping us was fairly new and he did not know much about the menu so asking him to help us out with it was kind of a waste of time. Luckily there was someone else there that was eating That was able to explain a couple things to us because they kind of knew what it was and they had been there a couple times. The sushi pizza is very unique it's kind of like a fried rice cake or patty of some kind of reminded me of the breakfast potato cakes you get at McDonald's but much better and thicker obviously made out of rice not potato The sushi that was on top of it was a very good and the little bit of seaweed salad on top made it taste very good their flavoring is very tasty without going overboard. I have noticed that recently it seems like the more sushi places I go to the more it's just about sweet sauce or spicy sauce and you don't really get a lot of taste of what you're really trying to eat unless you taste just the fish and the sauces. It was very refreshing long to a place that is so much different than all the other sushi places I've eaten at over the last years. I would give that sushi pizza a 9.5 out of 10 stars as far as taste and presentation it looks really good and tastes really good. We also have these banana wrapped kind of a sushi ball you might say I thought the flavor on them was a little bit weird The presentation is very good and the taste is okay it's almost like a dessert more than like a food that you would eat for dinner, I don't think it was for me but some other people might like it more than I would. My daughter ordered there sweet and sour chicken plate it came with some deep fried patties that were made of some kind of like a sweet potato(plantain), they were pretty good but kind of different but the sweet and sour chicken itself is delicious it tastes like real chicken does not taste like it's cheap, there rice and vegetable mix is very yummy and other than the restaurant itself being kind of small and feeling like You're getting packed in a little bit too close to your neighbors when you're inside I would give this place an overall 9.5 when it comes to sushi for what I had. I definitely will go back many more times because it's nice to find something new the tastes very good. I would say the food taste and overall preparation of the food Is something you would expect at a higher end restaurant. I hope these guys can grow and maybe even move into a bigger place where they can show people what kind of food they have and can make more of it. Me and my wife went here because of tik, super excited to try it out but when we got there we got greeted by nothing but a dirty stare by the hostess we were ignored never welcomed in and never got sat down we waited awhile to be sat down just to see others sitting themselves so we sat ourselves it took her more time just to get to us to get our order and after we did we waited more than 2 hours for food that was already prepared and the hostess had the audacity to say we should’ve grabbed it when she was handing everyone else their food and we didn’t know it was ready until we told her we were just going to leave I also wrote about my experience on tik tok on their channel for them to delete my comments and block me completely from viewing their account because I started getting likes on my comment talk about being professional right and handling the feedback they could’ve responded but yall had to act like kids and block me when I spoke about my experience. It’s funny you guys say i was being aggressive and being hateful tho two times i wrote i said how i was treated not once did i come at aggression yet you guys deleted my comment but why again i explain how yall treated me and my wife and you guys say i was hateful it was my feedback I didn’t bother call you names until the 3rd time my comment was deleted you guys just didn’t want people to see how i was treated and yall talk about professional please you guys just couldn’t own up to your mistakes and just wanted to hide it yall...

It’s a burning question: does Colombian cooking mix with Japanese sushi? Arigato Sushi has the answer and it is a resounding yes. It is a fantastic mix of flavors and well worth a visit.

This is a small place with friendly service, with pride of ownership on display. The menu is big and teases your taste buds with the descriptions.

We decided to go with the antojitos as a starter and man, what a solid decision. It’s a plantain-laden bit of heaven. I could eat this all day long. For my main, I ordered the “tentacion” (temptation in English) roll. If I’m sinning by falling to this “temptation,” then, Satan, here I come. Crispy shrimp, cucumber, avocado, Brie and sweet plantains (yes, I said what said - plantains and this is a glorious combination with the traditional sushi components). This is absolutely delicious.

While your sushi is prepped, they branch out a complimentary gyoza in miso soup. Warming and comforting. These guys take so much pride in what they are doing. Nice, nice folks.
