This is our favorite sushi spot; and we've shopped around. We ate there just last night and the service and flavors are as good as our first time. Our server's name is Richard and our sushi chef is Freddy. We arrived around 6:30 and were seated immediately. They have a very generous bar with 6 chef stations and lots of tables. Richard got our drinks right away. Miso and edamame are included with the endless sushi (lunch/dinner). We've never had a bad server there (we go about 3 times per month); but we are always glad to have Richard as our server. He's funny, attentive, super friendly; he's actually someone I would be friends with regardless. He's a people person, and he's great at his job. That's exactly the kind of person we want to be greeted and served by.
The sushi service was fast. One of the best experiences, in my opinion is to ask for recommendations from the sushi chef; and Freddy does not disappoint. He served us a collection of nigiri, handrolls, and long rolls. We love the seared tuna, upside down shrimp (both kinds), Elvis handroll (BEST EVAR!), Mars, Bees Knees, Yard Sale; and, again Freddy offers great recommendations. They have lot's of sauces: Sweet Chili, Cusabi, Jalapeno, Sriracha, Honey, Ponzu, and of course their signature Sweet Sauce. Not all rolls appeal to every pallet, but the nice part about their Endless Sushi option is that we can experiment with a new roll without worry. We share a few bites, and if we like it then we order another one. Ask about variations, add jalapeno slices, lemon slices, sriracha with the sweet sauce, add cilantro... if they can make it for you that way, they will.
Best part, it's endless sushi for one price. Explore new rolls, ask for recommendations, some you may love more than others, but they are all yummy and fresh. That has been our consistent experience.
TL;DR: friendly staff, great value for...
Read moreExtremely expensive rice. I ordered the Playboy Roll (Tempura Shrimp, Cucumber, Avocado with Tuna, Tobiko & Spicy Mayo Sauce on Top) and this is what I received: A small tempura shrimp, matchstick cucumber and avocado inside of the roll with Tuna lazily set on top of the roll drizzled with spicy mayo and a dab of tobiko. The roll was about 2" in diameter, so good sized but it was about 95% rice. The filling was about 1/2" then the rest was rice topped with extremely thin sliced tuna. The miso soup was sub par with 3 small pieces of tofu and no seaweed, the edamame was oversteamed and the Colorado roll, which I ordered for the children has spicy tuna, not tuna, so they would not touch it. They don't allow you to return rolls either, which I found disapointing especially because their description did not in any way depict the Colorado roll was spicy. I won't be returning which is sad because when they first opened up their food was great and has fallen to a disapointing would rather eat Wendy's* than there rating. I am not giving Wendy's a bad rating, just that it is fast food and is not what I would consider sit down for a nice meal food. One more item that I found unprofessional: The manager was in the middle of a fight with an employee when I went to pay and continued to get upset with him while he was ringing out my ticket, not to mention in front of the...
Read moreTo be honest, the sushi was pretty good. The service people and those making the sushi we're also excellent with customer service. My only complaint is the owner, or possibly manager. I took my daughter for sushi because it's her favorite food. We bought her the all you can eat. She gets so excited with every dish, she will ask me to try it a bite. The owner/manager notice this and confronted me about it. Which I would completely understand, however he approached me as if I was a criminal and trying to steal from him. I immediately offered to pay whatever he felt was fair, yet the man kept pushing the subject in front of my daughter. Although his charge of $5 seem fair his attitude was completely unacceptable. At this point I had, had it! I exchanged some cuss words with him told him we were never coming back. At the same time he told me not to come back and that he was going to put my face on his wall. This is for you mr. Manager. I Run 3 different businesses. Customer service is the most important part of keeping customers! It's just common sense. I had a total of 3 bites off my daughter's plate. We paid around $30 for a small California roll, and then three other dishes that only had 2 bites on each dish.
What the hell was he...
