Late night dinner with my wife, Jeni. I decided I was hungry and we were passing an Apollos so we got in line. It wasn't a long line but it took awhile. Jeni said that it takes awhile because they make everything fresh. She said her son had worked their during High School and they had gone there often to support him. So, I asked her what was good. I saw the Apollo Burger and ordered that. She got the Halibut plate with Sweet Potato Fries instead of regular. It took a bit to order and get the exchange right but the order taker finally got it. We got the order to go... duh! We were in the car! And went home to watch a movie and eat our dinner. When we got home, the food was still hot and started to eat. My first bite was startling as I thought it was going to be a hamburger. Nope... it was hamburger and pastrami with cheese, tomato, lettuce, etc. It was good but I needed a lot more sauce on it. Not my favorite though. Since it's my first time, I'll concede I didn't read the menu all the way through. You get to feeling pressured when their are cars waiting behind and it's a long menu. Sheesh! I really was looking forward to a juicy, hot, hamburger with all the trimmings as it was a $6 burger, but instead I got something I was not expecting. So... The Apollo burger was good for what it was, but it wasn't what I was looking for that evening. As for Jeni... she loved the Halibut and Sweet Potato Fries and I helped her eat it up. Delicious!!! Thanks Apollo Burger, not your fault I didn't get exactly...
Read moreApollo burger is always so good. I can get any burger or sandwich in a lettuce wrap, and it is still enough to make me full. Their burgers are delicious, and the sweet potato fries are too. They also have breakfast again that is really good! Actual breakfast you can't find at any other fast food.
Update: This update is unfortunately just 2 weeks after I left the review above, which I had given 5 stars. Any photos are added today, 2/2/2024. You want to know how you did, so here you go. We (my team mate and I) came to this location again today and ordered one of our usuals; A Hawaiian teriyaki burger in a lettuce wrap, a turkey avocado swiss, also on a lettuce wrap, add pickles, and 2 orders of sweet potato fries. I was the only one in the drive thru, and waited 10 minutes or less. Which is expected when they are making a modified order. The fries were cooked perfectly. Both wraps didn't have too much or too little lettuce. Both wraps also held together pretty well.
However, the pickles were missing from the turkey, and the Hawaiian burger had no, or very little teriyaki sauce. Also, I was charged for 2 extra fry sauces, for a total of 2 each order. I've never been charged for extra fry sauce at Apollo burger. For these, I am now giving you 4 stars. I...
Read moreAlways been a fan of Apollo Burger and their food but recently the customer service has gone downhill. I try to avoid making any special requests in general but especially because it seems like every time I do, they get ignored. My wife and I love Apollo’s breakfast but my wife is sensitive to peppers and onions so whenever we go there, I request to keep them off. The last few times, this has still been ignored, unfortunately. It’s a simple request and complaint but the final straw recently was when we ordered two breakfast burritos and one kids meal through the drive-thru. When I got to the window and paid, I noticed on the receipt that I was charged for an extra burrito so before they handed me the food, I mentioned it to the employee but they refused to refund the amount and hold onto the burrito because “they heard me say three burritos and it’s already made.” I know it’s a pain to make food that won’t get used but having to pay for something I didn’t order and won’t eat because they misheard me is ridiculous. Still love the food but it’s not worth going if I can’t count on getting what I ordered. I’ve tried driving further to the 54th location but the issue still occurs their as well so I feel it’s a management problem,...
