McDonald's — Restaurant in West Lafayette

Worst fast food restaurant ever. This place always closes the lobby for no reason even though they said it's 24hr. Trying to use "inadequate staffs reason"? Come on. You receive drive-through orders, charge their cards, and make orders for them through the window. You just need to do the same thing but turn around and put the order on the lobby counter instead of to cars outside. Does that need extra 10 staffs to do? I don't really want to eat there, so don't worry about cleaning tables. I JUST DON'T HAVE A CAR! You are located in the middle of campus and you expect that all your customers drive cars around for having a quick meal? Please read through several other reviews. Lots of people said the exact same problem. It's very common seeing people walking to your door, trying to push it, and finding out that it's locked. How do you pretend to not see that every day? How do you feel when seeing them confusing and disappointed from the will to just go in and grab a quick meal? Satisfied? It's so weird that you manage your business by locking the lobby from preventing walk-in orders. I have been here on multiple accounts. Never have I had an ideal visit. I’ve never written a review for anything before but this location needs one. Given the circumstances of Covid, they aren’t taking any precautions of protection other than no dine in options and plexiglass on the drive through windows. I feel that more so than ever, both drive up windows need to be open. One for money transactions and one for food. The same person at this location did it all without any gloves, any face mask, or as far as I’m concerned, any sanitizing between customers. Not to mention, the city just issued mandatory face coverings in all public spaces. To top all other things off at this location, the person at the window was in pajamas. There was no level of professionalism displayed at all. It’s also nothing for this place to be closed before their signs state regardless of modified or normal hours. I’ve just never had a good experience at this location no matter if that lies around wait times, attitudes displayed my managers or employees, item availability (not during Covid), etc. It’s unfortunate for the company because this is a prime location for Purdue University. RJ has made me regain faith in this McDonald's. This location has always been a drunken last resort, and if you've used the drive-thru here in the last 4 years or so you would understand; gross food and horrendous service. However, I just wanted a small meal about a month ago, and decided to come here since it was close. In the drive thru I spoke to RJ, he is a bright light in this dark world. Everytime I pull through and hear him I know I'm gonna leave with a smile on my face, and some good food to top that. I have also had great experiences with the other cashier's and employees as well don't get me wrong! Whatever this location has started doing is fantastic and they need to keep it up, this location is now my go to. Still 4 stars because about a year ago I ordered a plain cheeseburger, it wasn't plain so I went around again. It was morning time so I get it, we all make mistakes. I very politely asked if I could get my order corrected to which they got annoyed at, handed the bag to me and slammed the window.
