08/01/25 - Since my first review we’ve been here many times. Today we went with our 5yr old and we did not have the same experience. I guess this is not a kid friendly restaurant. My wife asked what the price was for our 5yr old. The man said $8.99. My wife confirmed $8.99 and he rudely said, “She is a child.” I don’t know why they can’t do kid prices based on age. Our girl won’t finish a kid meal, so $8.99 is steep. Good thing for Green Leaf!
I’m not being mean, see my previous review. It is positive. The difference was the older couple who are usually there were off. They’re much friendlier. My advice no kids.
12/03- My first time and a great experience. I took my wife for lunch to another restaurant, which is closed on Tuesday. That’s when we found this gem.
You’re greeted as if you’re an old friend. They offer lunch special as well as a lunch buffet. The variety is great because you will find something for everyone.
If you’re Vegan, no problem. They have a good selection on both the menu or buffet.
The place is very clean and plenty of space so you don’t feel crowded. You get people from all over which for me it’s nice to see when people expand their taste buds.
I enjoy the Chicken Masala, Chicken Curry, the white rice and yellow rice with potatoes. I had their version of garbanzo beans. They had a paneer dish my wife enjoyed.
They had a section for a good ol’ salad 🥗 I used fresh jalapeños to top off my dishes. They had a spicy chicken dish but I forgot the name. If you see spicy, it has a kick. They have naan to tone down the spice and a few dessert dishes to sweeten your day.
The service is great and in my case I drink water so I never went without it during my meal.
The entire staff is friendly and willing it make you feel comfortable. If you’re adventurous and want to try a different place give them a try and let...
Read moreThis is the saddest excuse for Indian food that I have tasted. First of all, the customer service was the closest thing to talking to a robot. The way the waiter talked to me was so impassionate and impolite on the phone and in person. When I walked into the restaurant, there were already 2 guys waiting for their takeout food sitting in the chairs by the entrance. I was not greeted at all, they just looked at me and kept filling the water jugs. Then, 2 more people walked in and they were greeted immediately and were sat down. I stood there for another 2 minutes before the 2 guys in the chair were given their food and they left. Meanwhile, I stood there for another 3 minutes feeling like I walked into the wrong restaurant while they KEPT FILLING THE WATER JUGS. Finally, he asked "What do you want". Then finally, I asked for my takeout order WHICH THEY HAD SITTING THERE THE ENTIRE TIME. So then I pay my order, which on their website states they give 10% off if we pay with cash. This is not true, he only took off 18 cents from my $30 order which to my calculations is not 10% off. Then when I got to eat the food, it was the most abysmal thing I have put in my mouth since the last time I ate McDonalds. First of all, 85% of the Chicken Korma was just sauce. It was just korma filled by volume with heavy cream. It made my stomach ache for the next 24 hours. The sauce was not even that good for me to justify eating the whole thing. The garlic naan was so soggy it felt like my towel after I took a shower. This is the last time I will visit...
Read moreTaken from my Yelp review:
This is the second time I've been here, first for dinner and second for the lunch buffet.
DINNER: I ordered a lamb curry with a spicy level of 3 out of 6 (assuming halfway was a medium spice, I was wrong). My first bite was exquisite, but oh my goodness was it extremely spicy. I was sweating and sniffling, but kept on eating because it was so flavorful. My friend got a biryani dish with a 1 level spice. I didn't think it was as good as my lamb curry, but it was probably due to my adjusted spice taste.
LUNCH: The buffet is the biggest bang for your buck Indian deal around the area. There's a lot of variety, but lacks the premium dishes (ex. Lamb curry) for obvious reasons. They do a good job of keeping everything in stock and the buffet line clean (unlike other buffet places). Their butter chicken and mango lassi are definitely worth trying.
SERVICE: Absolutely phenomenal. For both meals, we were seated almost immediately. For dinner, we had about 2-3 servers serving us and it felt like we were kings. The food came for me and my friend at almost exactly the same time. They checked on us frequently. For lunch, the same quality of service is expected, but might be less attentive due to the more customers and you can't blame them.
AMBIENCE: Music is great. Lighting is great at night. Everything is very clean as well.
One note to the owner is the table we sat at for lunch was somewhat wobbly. Didn't mind it at all, but might be an issue for others?
Highly...
