Always good food, they accept credit cards which few Chinese restaurants accept anymore. They have luncheon specials for those who want a bathing before 4 pm. The pricing is pretty much the same as other Chinese restaurants. Love their fried dumplings, beef and snowpeas, teriyaki beef sticks, pork n brocholi, egg drop soup, hot and sour soup. Egg rolls both regular and shrimp rolls all very good. Can eat in or take out. It use to be a lot nicer when you ate in and they use to have gifts you could buy but this trip I was disappointed that it was all gone and the decorations when you walked in and the bamboo plants are no longer there and we use to buy different things when went in there. They will give you free sodas with large orders, we got 2 fried dumplings, 2 beef teriyaki sticks, LG egg drop soup. Small hot and sour soup, beef and snow peas, pork and brocholi, and 4 shrimp egg rolls and total bill was $73.00. They gave us 4 cans of sodas and fortune cookies. Staff is helpful n nice but at times very hard to understand, also pay attention when ordering because they will answer the phone and then at times things you ordered are missed on your order and we had that happen in the past. Always check large orders before you leave also because we've had egg rolls we pd for in past not in the bag and suspected someone else got them and when you drive 18 miles to get there you don't want to drive back for 4 egg rolls. It's been about half and half our visits we had problems with egg rolls not in our bag when home or something we ordered wasn't actually ordered and they do read it back but are difficult many times to understand. I generally mark on the menu what we want and found this visit I made her also allow me to look at the menu items I marked off because she was holding the menu and I couldn't see it and asking me if this was correct with order but I told her I didn't know unless I was looking at it also. I was a bit annoyed that 3 take out orders were taken in the middle of ours for fear our order would be messed up and each call caused us to need to start all over with our order so we arrived at 558 and didn't get out of there til 650 pm even though told 15 mins it was 3 xs longer til our order gotten and because it seemed they were doing the call in take out orders first over those of us who went in for take out order. That was only complaint I had especially after spending ...
Read moreWe walked in and noticed the terrible decor. Empty shelves, empty glass cases, and a vacuum cleaner against the wall right where we sat. The shelves had dirty vases on them with algae in some. It was truly gross. Very dingy feeling. The menu above the counter has pictures of every dish (a bad sign). We ordered the Orange Chicken and General Tso's chicken combo platters. When our food was slid across the counter, she had to tell us which one was the Orange chicken because they looked exactly the same. We tried each other's food, and -surprise- they tasted EXACTLY the same. Unfortunately, they both tasted bad and the only difference between the two was that the orange chicken had rock hard pieces of orange rind in the mix. I would rather eat at a Panda Express any day of the week - just for the atmosphere, never mind how much better the food tastes.
How this business ever gets a single repeat customer, I'll never know, but it goes down as one of the worst meals of the year for me. Next time we'll try Wasabi a couple of doors down. Their menu looked a little better, they had a wait staff, and the interior of the place looked clean and...
Read moreUpon arriving at the Golden Wall Chinese restaurant I was greeted by the atmosphere only equal to a truck stop bathroom complete dingy lighting and questionable smells. My usual order in any Chinese restaurant is chicken Lo Mein and considering I've dined at MANY Chinese restaurants I'd consider my palate quite attuned to good Lo Mein. This was by far the worst Lo Mein I have ever had in my life. It was drenched in soy sauce with not even a hint of the other main ingredient terriyaki. Without question the most disgusting Chicken Lo Mein I have ever had the misfortune of eating. I did not complete even 25% of the meal as it was simply horrible.
I would recomend you go to either burger king or Wassabi if you find yourself hungry...
