Joe's Bagel and Grill — Restaurant in West Long Branch

The bagels are good. I am deducting one star because their staff needs better training on greeting customers, at least pretending to be happy to be there and not having loud conversations in their staff smoking area which is within earshot of the outdoor seating area. The second star I am deducting is for the lack of attention to detail on the interior and exterior. There are finger prints on the digital monitors, the daily specials are on a printout that's barely noticeable, and things generally look less organized and polished inside than they should. The whole beach theme either needs to be cultivated more or abandoned. Finally the outdoor eating area is very underwhelming despite the potential for much more. There's graffiti on the trash can. The table arrangement has no rhyme or reason. The landscaping doesn't really make sense. The bushes hide the seating area yet there is an open cute of the highway. With a little bit of customer service improvement and some minor updates/cleaning this place could definitely be a five star establishment. I'd certainly rooting for its success. Terrible customer service .

My company orders from here at least 1-2 a week over $50-70 each time .

I placed a group order . A California panini replacing the bacon with Turkey bacon (religious restriction) . And an energy drink .

My colleague picked up the order . My order was missing the bacon & she forget the canned drink . Up charge of $2.50 for bacon & $3 for the energy drink .

I called thinking it would be resolved easily . I was told I “can not be refunded for 1 item” . I mentioned the drink and was told “it’s not our fault you forgot the drink.” I was told I can get the refund in CASH only for the bacon and the drink is my responsibility.

The response is unreasonable and borderline fraudulent. A refund should be processed for anything in the same manner . It’s poor customer service to say it’s my fault I forgot the drink , when it’s unopened still on their counter .

So in the end they made money off my order . I will never order from here again and will always mention the terrible attitude they give when it comes to correcting...

Everything was just ok. Bagels were ok. Opt to put on your own ketchup. They cloaked my sandwich in it. Under all that ketchup, was a really good attempt at a pork roll egg and cheese. The egg everything bagel was ok. Definitely get whatever you order, toasted. Otherwise it's a doughy mess. I mean they nailed the plain bagel toasted with cream cheese. The coffee was just okay. It was like the type of coffee you get at a stop and go at 4 am,just to get you through the rest of your drive. The only difference is the stop and Go has better cups. I'm literally watching coffee deteriorate this cup as I'm looking at it. Im not trying nitpick, but the napkins are dust. You can't even pull them out of the napkin dispenser without them deteriorating. I mean overall I guess it's okay. It's ok in that way that is eat it if I was a guest at someone's house and they offered me it for breakfast. Personally I drove past 30 better places.
