SERVICE ANIMAL HANDLERS/OWNERS BEWARE.
I am disappointed to give this low of a rating. While I love their food and have been an avid customer for almost 20 years (I provided appropriate rating for food in the review details), I am disappointed in the customer service, hurt by the lack of acceptance, and appalled at the discrimination presented in store today.
I am visiting from out of state and wanted to finish my trip home with my favorite soup and sandwich with my family. I arrived at Issac's with my service animal and was immediately looked at with side glances and whispers by the staff about my having a dog. A small, well-behaved, trained dog. The staff person who greeted me did so with an attitude and asked "how can I help you?" I asked to sit outside "with my service animal." I was denied such a request and the staff member requested papers. I questioned what papers were required. She could not answer and said "let me go check for you." After a few moments, another employee came to me and said, "I am sorry but we cannot allow animals of any kind." I replied that my "animal" is a "service dog." She requested certified papers. I questioned from what authority as there is no national registry or required license for a trained service dog. The employee said "usually there are certified papers or identification." I stated, "I don't have her vest on today, but that does not negate the fact that she is a service dog." The employee again said "no animals."
Would they deny a blind person service who had a guide dog? Would they deny a veteran with a service dog?
I was not even offered to be served take out. I was flat out denied service.
I am disgusted by the actions of West York employees. After almost 20 years of patronage, I am disappointed to have to say goodbye to pepper jack tomato soup and the...
Read moreBeen going to Isaac's for years. Love Isaac's good food, good environment. Pickled vegetables always delicious but yesterday something changed and I guess it has to do with the fact that they became a brewery or maybe because of the fact that they're trying to. You know increase the atmosphere of their food or just bring more money in because of the economic times but their prices are starting to go up and not in a good way. They have offered up burgers. Never seen a burger at Isaac's before but now they have them three of them. They're all $20 each. That's insane for a burger that better be the Best hamburger I ever ate that brings me closer than any woman ever has lol. Most of their sandwiches are sitting around $15 which is what they were always famous for but now they're starting to incorporate all this other stuff and their prices are going up badly. They still have the same good food. Same friendly atmosphere but if your prices are going to climb like they are I'm sorry. Three of us should not be a $60 bill unless I went to something...
Read moreAt my most recent visit, the employees were having having issues with their computer system... and I don't know what was going on but there were only three tables with guests... so they weren't that busy. I ordered vegetarian salads to go and it took over 30 minutes. The wait time I was originally given was 10 to 15 minutes. The situation felt chaotic and disorganized. The workers are trying their best but it's obvious they need guidance and training. I am consistently disappointed and unimpressed with this location.

They have great food and dedicated workers. Plenty of parking. The takeout area can get crowded and service can be slow. For the most part I feel the prices are fair but sometimes they can be cheap with the portion of fries you get when ordering takeout. (Note: It wasn't an upgrade from chips.). I have an example of the fries in a photo. The container is small, You can see the bottom of the container under the fries, and multiple fries were ripped. For the price, it was...
