Shangrila Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in West Manchester Township

We ordered sweet and sour chicken, kung pao chicken, pork fried rice and egg drop soup. The portions were terribly small. Any time I have ordered chinese food, there is NO WAY I would be able to eat all of it and I ALWAYS have leftovers. I ate this meal (kung pao) and was not even remotely full. The sweet and sour chicken wasn't even the traditional type (which is fine) but it came with more vegetables than meat and was soaked with sauce to the point where the chicken was so soggy it was UNBEARABLE to eat. The pork fried rice was ok except for the fact it was also mixed with plain white rice and the soup tasted like water. I called the owner back and took my complaints up with her and she simply told me "That is just how we make and I can't do anything for you.'' No money back, no apology, not even an attempt to maybe give me a voucher for a discount on my next purchase, nothing. I DO NOT recommend this place, it is a rip off in price:portion ratio, as well as poor quality food...

I've been eating here for as long as I can remember. The food is amazing. Which is why they've won numerous awards for "Best Food in York." They offer a huge selection of Chinese food. The prices are very reasonable. They offer even better pricing during their Lunch Special (which is only a certain time/ hours during the day). You get an ample amount of food. The restaurant is quaint and has a good ambience. The staff are very courteous and efficient. They get to know their customers, for those of us who go frequently. It's eat in or pick up only, they do deliver through a service called Carryout Courier (there's extra fees through Carryout Courier). There is plenty of parking. Very easy to get to and find. They are closed on Mondays. There hours of service are as expected. I just cannot say enough good things about this place. Please go...

This restaurant had OK reviews, so we thought we’d give it a try since our usual place was closed for vacation. WORST Chinese food we’ve ever had; and the portions were lacking. Ordered the boneless ribs app. We might as well ordered thin shoe leather and it would have tasted better! Ordered small and large size items. The small size item had little meat and big chunks of vegetables, which was so disappointing. The large size item was swimming in sauce in the container, and the “chicken” had so much breading that you couldn’t tell what you were eating. The chicken fried rice was the best tasting item, not saying much, but the chicken didn’t have any flavor at all. And then there’s the pricing, way over priced for the small amount of food you get.
