Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in West Mifflin

I used to go and order take out here all the time. After my last visit though I will not return, I went online to look at the menu and called in a take out order. The prices online didn't match up with the in-store price it was around 6$ more expensive. I don't like to complain I was just going to pay and leave. So I order TAKEOUT. I get out of my car come inside to be ignored by 3 waitresses when I ask where to go for takeout. The bartender directs me to the back corner. I wait for someone to come out and pay and go to leave and the girl says very vocal and loud. "WHAT NO TIP?!?!" Now I'm a very generous tipper however my order was wrong they didnt include everything either found out when I checked everything. But its takeout I did all the work I came inside had a poor experience and then your worker has the audacity to confront me for not leaving her a tip?!?! Are you serious? She didn't do anything, she didn't wait on my table it was take out. I don't tip the guy a Sheetz when he make my sandwich. Some nerve demanding a tip. I was so embarrassed like I had done something wrong. I will never return which makes me sad becauae I love your food.

So 9 months I refused to come back until tonight figured time for another shot. This time I order and pay online included the tip too. Pick up everything went great, really fast and easy. Too easy.. I get home and to my surprise food missing. I ordered a pick 3 sampler; brew pub pretzels, boneless chicken, and chicken quesadilla. Well no boneless chicken. So I called up, spoke to the manager John. He says wow sorry ill toss a coupon in the mail on my way home. Whatever that means. So yeah not sure what's going on with this place but this was me giving you a second chance and c'mon really?

I give up with this place, i ordered a 15$taco salad and literally received lettus and chicken. I ordered the same salad about a month ago and it was really good so i reordered it and this time i wait in my car 10 minutes past the pick up time and got lettus with no dressing, no pico, no sour cream, i paid for extra cheese there was about 3 shredded strands throughout the salad. The only thing i requested was no guacamole, so i guess they decided to leave out ALL the ingredients. Thanks for the lettus and...

The food was good. I will give them that. Good taco app. Good two for 28 meals. Good margs..BUT!!.. Went on a Friday at around 4:15. Was busy in the outer areas but in the bar seat surrounds we were the ONLY ones sat there at first. Waited ten minutes before the host who sat us realized no one was waiting on us... Long story short, the place filled up and at least four tables who arrived after us were served first. Waitress "A." wrote our order down, took half hour for our two drinks, then asked us if we were ready to order! We had already ordered! She rewrote our order and finally remembered yes we had ordered, I asked if she even placed the order to the kitchen and she said yes. ?! .took another twenty minutes for our salads both with incorrect dressings, forgot our appetizer. Finally after we had finished our drinks we got appetizer. Eventually we got our meals. Manager came to our table several times (we hadn't asked for him) seemingly just as we had mentioned inadequacies like as if they had microphones somewhere. Hmm.. got our first bill incorrectly charging for a game since one had tapped lightly on the pay station thing but had not played. It also didnt take the printed gift card we gave the waitress off the bill. Second bill still had not taken of the gift amount. She then asked if we gave the manager the gift. No we gave it to her, she completely forgot! Final bill we never received, only both of them (manager and A.) came to the kiosk and showed our final amount correctly. What a fiasco. Two hours and counting there for what normally is 45 minutes to an hour. Manager C. apologized and said next time ask him for a different waitress. Well...

Great quality and top notch service make for an unforgettable time. Our server, Michael D. , handled our 7 person order with the deftness and aplomb that you rarely see in today's eatery. It was as if we were the only group of customers he had to contend with. Needless to say we rarely wanted for anything. He made consistently sure that throughout the entire course of the meal, we had more than enough sauces, refills, etc. I realize that this review is not just about our server, but he made such an impression that I felt I had to give him his well deserved due. The food was excellent too. We started with the strawberry lemonade and both the alcoholic and non alcoholic versions were outstanding. Four of us got the all you can eat riblets, shrimp and chicken tenders meal which I give you is only available for a limited time so if they still offer it when you read this I highly recommend it. The riblets had 2 different sauces, Texas, smoky and a bit spicy and Honey BBQ, sweet and...well smoky. It is barbeque sauce after all. Either way was good albeit a bit dry. The shrimp was hearty, succulent and had a great flavor. The chicken tenders were your usual tasty fried morsels. How our waiter was able to keep up the pace with four all you can eat orders and three kids was a testament to his unparalleled abilities as a sever! He was extremely personable as well. It was if we stopped over at a friends house. Availability of the all you can eat deal aside, we will be back and we will seek out this...
