Where do I begin? I'll start with this. I live in Texas. November 10th is my mom's birthday. I wanted to do something super special for her and honestly wanted to be with her, but unfortunately, my family and I are sick. I've called around to multiple places to see if the challenge I was asking could be accepted. After realizing Tokyo didn't open until 430pm, I did the next best thing ever invented....I went straight to Facebook to message the business. I asked if what I was looking for could be possible and sure enough, it was and EVEN better. They were able to accommodate my mom and her friends for her birthday while I paid for it via phone. They went above and beyond for my mom to make this day super special as if I were there and even mentioned her mom's name(who passed away in 2021) to keep her included as well. If you have family that lives locally and you aren't able to make it, but still want to celebrate them, Tokyo is the place you'd want. WOW! I'm still at awe that they made this happen. Thank you Tokyo and all staff members for making...
Read moreI would NOT recommend this restaurant at all. My coworker and I visited here last Wednesday night. We were in town for a work related event and our experience was horrible. We arrived around 8:30pm and stood at the hostess area for almost 5 minutes before being acknowledged (3 employees stared at us but wouldn't come to help us). Once we were waited on, we were seated and our server acted like we were annoying her because we asked questions about the sushi. When our salad and soup was brought out, the miso soup was lukewarm. We were not offered straws or refills. Our cook (Scotty) was amazing, but the food was mediocre. After he left, our waitress never came back out to bring a check. When we went to pay and asked for to go drinks, the staff acted like we were annoying them. We were extremely disappointed in our experience here. (Note: the sushi and hibachi steak were good, but other than that and our cook being nice, this was a terrible...
Read moreWe had an amazing experience. The food was excellent. The restaurant is very clean and tidy. Our chef was fun and talkative. The wait staff is prompt and friendly. I can not find a thing to complain about. The portions are a good size for the price, but I definitely recommend getting double rice on your order. The food is great leftover as well, as the flavors absorb more into the meal. Definitely give it a shot if you haven't already.
Edit: Don't listen to any naysayers below. I've been going to this spot for years, and I've always loved it. When I moved to Indiana for a bit, this was one of the places I truly missed. If the service is a little slow, it's because the staff is super busy. If you want the best experience, get there at 4:30 pm. Otherwise, you'll find the restaurant slam full and for...
