Panera Bread — Restaurant in West Orange

I recently placed an order at work this past Saturday and ordered (2) drinks and (2) salads. all other items were delivered as ordered minus the Fuji Apple Cranberry - With Guarana & Caffeine drink I had ordered for myself. I called and checked with the DoorDash delivery person and they informed me they were never provided that drink with my order and encouraged me to report this to Panera directly. When I called Panera, I first had to wait for at least 15-20 mins just to get through to a live customer service rep and when I finally did, the manager just took the order information and assured me my order would be remedied and hung up. Following that, I submitted an online Panera Guest Care Inquiry when I saw that Panera had not refunded the amount, nor was my drink delivered to me at work. I was provided with a reference 02242375 and informed that I will “receive a response from one of our Guest Care Specialists soon.” Since Saturday, again no attempt has been made by this particular location to remedy the situation. I do not care as much for being charged in full for food not delivered, so much as the poor customer service. My husband had also placed a large catering order from them a few weeks back and he was missing a big piece of his order for a work event. To this day, he has neither been refunded the $$’s, nor been provided those missing food items. No response whatsoever from Panera…period. He informed me his workplace has stopped getting food catered/delivered through Panera and having learnt the lesson myself i will do the same and recommend others not to get work lunches delivered by...

While the food was good and the service was OK. I was shocked when the lady working the register flat-out ASKED FOR A TIP. She took my order and my cash. You deserve a tip for what? Because you don't even have to walk out to our table to give us our food. Someone else did that! I've worked allot of jobs. I've carried 55" TVs out to cars (Yes actually carried) by myself. I've carried rolls of carpets out to trucks for customers and NEVER asked for a tip! Worse yet I then felt obligated to give her one! She ruined the store for us, we'd only come back to see if she had the cajones to ask again!!

Panera needs to check in on this location! We've been to at least 5 locations now and this has been the worst one!

10/28/18 Update: First of all no one ever bothered to even contact me about this review . I also noticed that no one ever commented on this review from the store location. That is a bad sign! Now about our last visit to the store. We came in here yesterday and the store was a mess there were napkins crumbs even a eating bagel laying on the floor I couldn't even find a clean table to say that we had wipe down our own table which was a mess! as I've said in my previous review there are a lot of other locations that we've been to and this is definitely the worst one of all them. If they can't improve it they should shut it down because it gives a bad impression for all the other...

This location just gave me what seems to be raw chicken skin. In my chipotle chicken avocado sandwich. That’s disgusting. The chicken is always an issue on this sandwich never cooked completely. Seems like it’s for animal chow. This time I got it to see if they would have a better day. Nope they gave me chicken skin and barely cooked chicken. I tried to bake it some more at home because I was too far to go back for a replacement. Baking it didn’t help because I burnt the bread and the chicken was still needing another 15-20 mins of cooking. Never ordering that again. Now because it was a pick two I had broccoli cheddar soup that was the same good. I also ordered a 2nd pick two just in case the chipotle chicken sandwich was bad. The Tuna is always my go to because they don’t mess it up. The tuna sandwich has a different bread now and I hate it. The sandwich was great because of its original bread and how it complimented the tuna and greens. Now you get regular multi grain bread slices like I made the sandwich at home. I spend a lot of money at Panera because they were consistent never in my life did I imagine taking them out of my fave to grab a healthy but good bite. I’m so saddened....
