Our family stopped by for dinner on Saturday night. A wonderful greeting was received as we entered the restaurant by the hostess. Though the business name stated Pizza and Pasta the menu showed such a wide and extensive selection of food items from which to choose.
My wife and son both selected small calzones while I selected a large stromboli. When the order arrived at our table what a surprise to see how big the selections were. The small calzone was large enough to have fed the three of us alone. The large stromboli was twice the size of what I would have received elsewhere.
The food was delicious and my wife really loved the pasta sauce provided for dipping the food into. The hostess (one of the owners who grew up in Italy) came to our table to visit and told my wife the sauce was her grandmothers recipe. We were not able to to eat all of the food and took it home to enjoy the next day.
The interior is small with a few tables and a couple of tables outside. Other than one other person, we were the only ones eating in the restaurant but there were many, many more that came in to order food to take out or to pickup up orders. I also noticed that you can order a slice or two of pizza, which several people did walk in to order. Quite a busy amount of traffic to get this food.

Wow, wow, wow...
I moved from New York to Wellington, Florida in 2015 and spent a good year trying to find a decent place for pizza. I did find a pretty good place, but it was expensive...
In 2021, I moved to West Palm Beach and the search to find a new local place for pizza started again... I found a few places that were acceptable, but in December, totally out of chance, I was in the Al Volo parking lot and noticed the line of people at Al Volo was out the door...
So, I stopped in to get a take-out menu and soon fell in love!
First off, the prices are so reasonable for what I believe to be just outstanding Italian food!!!
But the real reason to go to Al Volo is for Italian food that would be considered tops in Manhattan or any of the five boroughs!
The pizza crust is out of this world. But so is the sauce and toppings... The meatball topping is REAL meatballs! The sausage topping is made on location!
I am so excited to start trying everything on the very impressive menu...
The variety of salads is long! The variety of gourmet specialty pizza is long!
Next on my list are the Strombolis and Calzones!
Oh, and by the way, the people that work there are the nicest people you could ask for!
If you want to treat your family to authentic quality Italian food at very reasonable prices, Al Volo is the place to go!!!
And the delivery is FREE within a 4-mile radius...
