I would have given them a zero star if that was possible. We have been going to them for nearly 15 years including Christmas evening because the food and service was always very good. Not now it isn't this was the worst of the worst. Firstly I tried to make reservations days ago, foolishly the owner would not do it and had he done it he would have been better prepared for Christmas evening brisk sales. It seems like he may have cut backl on cooks, on staff just in time for the holidays. Two people ordered Duck for take out and both were promised it would be ready at 5 PM. A woman and a Man, they were ticked off as they were still waiting at well past 6 PM and the owner just did not care. He was rude to them and did not even offer to discount it for them to offset their anger. As for us we got seated at about 6:15 so we only had to wait about 30 minutes, not to bad. We got seated and they took our appetizer order promptly and our main order only about 15 minutes later. So far so good. Now it gets worse and worse. We asked for noodles, they said they were out of noodles ( this is 6 PM very early how can you be out of noodles). We were told they were cooking so we said as soon as they are ready please bring a bowl. My Mother in law got her dinner at about 6:30 not bad. Then one other friend got his order about 20 minutes later. That left one more friend as well as my wife and I who all ordered the same dish. 20 minutes or so our friend got her order and we asked where is ours they are all the same so they all should have been cooked together at the same time. Well we waited a full hour for our dinner while one friend was done eating as was my mother in law. I was going to just cancel our order but my wife said please don't I am very hungry so we waited waited and waited ( 1 hour). finally the owners ( I think his daughter but not sure ) came by and I told her what was going on. Within 10 minutes we got our dinner but it was Ice Cold. I do not send back food to a kitchen for fear of what they may do to it. So we asked for boxes and figured we would eat it when we got home. To cap off this horrendous service we asked for Ice Cream or Sherbert which comes with the meal but was told it does not. That is a lie, it always does, they were probably out of ice cream just like the noodles. Oh by the way as we are paying the bill we saw tables with noodles and asked why did we not get noodles and was told they were just out of the cooker. Another lie, it does not take 2 hours to cook noodles and besides they did not offer to bring to us. Oops I almost forgot did not even get our rice until we asked and that was about 15 minutes after my wife and I finally got our dinner that we had to take home. I will never ever go back to this establishment ever again. Holiday, non holiday or take out. They are now lazy, understaffed, and nasty. Perhaps they are getting ready to retire and they do not care, I have no idea, but I will not be back and hope you stay away. ...
Read moreWent for lunch and the food is still as good as I remember it being! Ordered yum cha and two other dishes, the beef chow fun was fantastic!!! Salty, tangy, smoky and that really good flavor especially that comes only from GOOD chow fan! The wok hay flavor also bring these flavors together with the green onion that will leave you silent from eating the food so fast and stuffing your face. I have tried alot of other places and only one other place can make chow fan close to the way this place does. The young chow fried rice was also fanstastic! The pork, shrimp and sausage I believe were all fresh and easily beats any fried rice you will get from alot of other places by far. I ate so much of each, I could only touch some of my dumplings because I was so stuffed. When I got The yum cha( dim sum) I got the shrimp siu Mei and chee chong fan (rice paste roll) . The siu mei was everything I expected it to be and more. You get sweet and salty from the sui mei accompanied by that good crabby seafood flavor that comes along in the dumpling. When I got home I also tried the rice paste roll and hong kong style egg tart It was as good as the other dishes that Ordered. There's not alot of local places with authentic Chinese cuisine and this one is one of the few I can still come back to and get a taste of nostalgia. Staff is very nice and laid back as well! Highly recommend to anyone looking for the authentic experience of real deal dim sum and traditional chinese dishes. This is not one of those American chinese...
Read moreSo I went the first time and it was great, went second great à gain. Food though as gotten less tasty as time has gone on, beef with mix vegetables tasted exactly like the chow fun, just with a thicker sauce. Now about customer service, older lady, called by phone to order take out and wanted the chow fun with vegetables that they had on their online. The lady said it only comes with beef, so I said it's on your online menu and also mentioned that I had ordered in the restaurant as well. To keep it short , went back and forth and she said if u want it then order it online and I said I'm on the phone now so why can't I order over the phone, because there's no vegetables with it. So I said no ill order from somewhere else. Since that day my phone number has been blocked and I know this because my mom still orders from them and I used her phone and they pick as well as I tried to order for my mom again and went right to a msg unable to answer your call but two seconds later I used my home phone and got through. No it's not a timing issue. I know I'm only one person, but that is poor business. The younger lady is very pleasant and I've never had a problem with her. Posted as an FYI because once I figured what was going on with the phone I was furious and I don't like public scènes but online I'm okay with it. I don't appreciate poor customer service as I worked as a manager for over 20 years in the...
