Hong Kong Wok — Restaurant in West Palm Beach

I’d seen a review before I visited talking about some kid on his phone who is aware of your presence yet chooses to wait 8-10 seconds before acknowledging you. I thought that was odd, until I went and had the exact same experience. I greeted him, he ignored me and about 5 seconds go by and he didn’t say a thing and suddenly asks what I’d like. I told him I’m picking up an order I placed over the phone. He said okay one second, he then gives me a receipt and I pay, I sign the receipt with no tip due to his attitude and he watches like a hawk. He has this little smirk on his face when I crossed off the tip and went to type something on the computer before putting in my order and then going to get the food. I would’ve loved to leave a better review because the food was actually pretty good. Overall 8/10 in terms of taste. But that service left a terrible aftertaste. I used to order from them all the time. Then one day I ordered a jumbo house special fried rice from them and it was all sticky and gooey! Waste of money as it got thrown out. Customer service isn't great either and the owner is very rude and gets easily frustrated with addresses and deliveries. Food used to be great not so much anymore. If you can give this place a 5-star rating then you obviously have never eaten really good Chinese food. Being from New York I know enough about pizza & Chinese food... and this isn't it, it's overcooked and thrown together. Reviews here seem to be pretty hit or miss. My experience was not bad. The customer service was good, the food was good, and it came in a timely matter.

As far as the quality of food goes it was not bad. I had the house fried rice & order of honey chicken and was not disappointed. Everyone that had some did not seem to hate the cuisine.
