Belmart Plaza — Local services in West Palm Beach

⭐ 1 star. “Came for shopping. Stayed for the existential crisis.” 🛍️😵‍💫🦗 Ah yes, Belmart Plaza — the Bermuda Triangle of West Palm Beach retail. I pulled into the parking lot full of hope… and left with a mysterious stain on my shoe, a haunted look in my eyes, and absolutely zero shopping bags. 🎭🧼

Let’s talk parking first: It’s like a post-apocalyptic wasteland with bonus potholes and no rules. I think I saw a car parked diagonally across three spaces while its owner casually fed pigeons Doritos. 🦅🚗🍿

The plaza itself is a confusing mix of faded signage, suspicious windows, and stores that seem either abandoned, about to close, or somehow from another dimension. I walked into one place and I swear it was just a guy selling used DVD players and dreamcatchers out of a folding table. 📼🔮🤷

Half the lights flickered like they were powered by ghost energy, and I swear a tumbleweed rolled past me. TUMBLEWEED. In Florida. 🌴➡️🌪️

I was hoping to grab a coffee or snack, but my choices were:

A mysterious café with no name and a “CLOSED” sign that looked permanent.

A convenience store where the cashier stared into my soul and said, “You’re not from around here, are you?” ☕🙃🕵️‍♂️

Even Google Maps was like, “You sure about this, fam?” 📍😬

Honestly, I’m not convinced Belmart Plaza is a shopping center at all. It might just be an elaborate art installation about capitalism’s slow decline. Or maybe a secret testing site for how long humans can survive in weird vibes. 🌀💀💼

We mainly visit Publix in this plaza, staff is friendly, store is clean. They definitely don't have the selection the Southern location has. If we're needing something quick and easy, we'll come here, otherwise we go to the bigger one. I was happy to see it was coming when we bought our house though. The dollar store is sad, always dirty and looking like it's currently being stocked. The Chinese place is good, we frequently visit. Dontee's is a good place to eat also. There is a Publix employee that has a crappy truck with vulgar writing on the window that I do hate seeing everytime I pull in there, but what can ya...

So glad to have a Publix here! It’s a smaller Publix, but has a broad offering and is always ready to order what One wants. The shopping center has a great dry cleaner—the woman there got stains out of an old suit that I thought was a goner! There’s a liquor store and a super Latino ice cream shop with the best coconut ice cream in the area! If the name Micho Acana weren’t so obscure it would be world famous by now.
