This place used to be my regular hangout with friends and family. Back at the original location a few doors down back when Marcos ran stuff.. it was a much better place and vibe. We used to be greeted, and a server always attended to us. They used to carry Great Notion beer exclusively out here in tri cities for awhile. After they moved locations, the service went down hill... servers pick their favorite regulars to attend to and ignore anybody else unless they wait and wait at the bar. Staff are generally pretty nice and they have some super tasty, local ingredient food. I stopped going after I asked a few times on social media about when they expected to get Great Notions back in stock.... I was met with a rude response of "they ship beer to your door so you probably should just do that, we don't know when we're driving out to get more" then they blocked my profile on social media after 3 years of dedicated loyalty and hard earned money being spent there. Now we go to Flight Tap & Table because they went out of their way to get Great Notion on tap and in cans, they always welcome you and make you feel at home. Bigger venue, better selection and a full bar. Sorry Lazy river but you've done me wrong too many times after dedicated loyalty... we will...
Read moreI have probably come in once a month since moving to the Tri-Cities. They moved to the space on the corner maybe a year or two ago, so it’s way more spacious. Don’t get me wrong, the local breweries are okay, but Lazy River often has the best breweries in Washington/Oregon on tap (my favorite is Varietal from Sunnyside). They host some really fun events, like tap take-overs from great breweries, and sometimes a band will play on the weekend. They have updated their porch area to be more comfortable.
It’s a very relaxed atmosphere with customers from different age groups and professions, super welcoming to all. Beer is always super cold. Plus, they have cans for beer-to-go!
Their food is awesome, perfect sized menu. Their pulled pork sandwich (omg that apple slaw..) and Buddha bowls are killer. Pretzels are dank, too. I have no dietary restrictions, but I know they have vegetarian and gluten-free options. Not sure about vegan options, though.
All in all, it’s a great tap house. Would not recommend it as a first-date spot in the evenings, it can get loud...
Read moreLazy River Tap House isn’t just a place to eat and drink, it’s the heart of West Richland. The food, service, and atmosphere are all five stars, but what really makes it special is the people. The team takes time to know their patrons and makes everyone feel welcome, even on the busiest nights. I’ve watched this place grow from a small closet space into a true community hub, a place that feels like West Richland’s living room. Oh and trivia nights on Tuesdays get pretty intense with bragging rights and prize money on the line. I never win but I don’t...
