I cant express how excited i was when i heard tumbleweeds was coming to west richland. We love it there, but it seems they rehired the same people who ran chicken shack into the ground or something.
I walk in and the young guy behind the counter sees me, then aimlessly wonders off. Ok weird but whatever, i check the menu and the deals, i know what i want. Nobody to take my order. People in the back see me and say nothing. Eventually the young guy working the counter wonders back. And i say that because he really is just shuffling around. He goes behind the counter, grabs his drink, walks around me to the soda fountain, dumps his drink, refills it, then starts literally slurping it right there at the fountain. All this while completely ignoring the one customer he has standing at the counter ready to order. I dont know if you realize how wild it is standing in a resturant and be openly ignored for like 7 minutes straight. So i left and went to costa vida. Seriously bummed out, the other tumbleweeds is great but bad employees can...
Read moreThis is a new location of an existing restaurant. People that havenât eaten here ask me if itâs Mexican. I tell them itâs âWhitesicanâ, lol. If you dine in they give you free chips and salsa. The meat is seasoned and cooked well, they have my familyâs favorite crisp burritos (theyâre more like deep fried flautas), and the new chipotle aioli is bomb. My personal go-to is the soft beef burrito. The tots could be crispier but they still taste great. The prices in general could be better, especially for the loaded tots considering the amount of food. That said, itâs entirely understandable given current high costs for food and labor. Overall, itâs the same restaurant we know and love and Iâm stoked that there is a new location. Tumbleweeds is a...
Read moreVery mid experience. Ordered a taco salad with no meat/pinto beans instead and added jalapenos. Was not given jalapenos and charged extra for pinto beans (despite it not be advertised as extra when subbed for meat). The salsa was bland with no heat, seasoning, cilantro, onion or lime. Basically just tasted like diced tomatoes. The taco salad itself was almost all lettuce- even though I was charged extra for my beans there were barely any. There's an upcharge for onions/cilantro/jalapenos as well- which most taco salads automatically come with. I'll maybe try them one more time, but I won't be ordering a taco salad again. For the price just go to a legit Mexican restaurant where taco salads actually include all the components that make...
