My husband and I stopped in on our way to IKEA, because my hubs loves Mexican food. My husband ordered a torta Mexicano and I ordered a super quesadilla both with pastor meat. Food was tasty...not my favorite though. My quesadilla was cheesy but that's about it. Somehow my meat had VERY little flavor.
The restaurant is cute, but no COVID safety guidelines as far as I can tell. To be honest, if the food wasn't tasty I wouldn't have even given it two stars. There was an older man working the register who essentially treated me like a child one minute and a criminal the next. It was odd. I ordered a sangria and he handed me a non-alcoholic sangria in a bottle. I asked for the alcoholic one and he cut me off saying, "No. No." So my husband said can she have a margarita and he was pretty much shouting "No!" at this point. I said eff it.
From that point on he would stand at the front of the restaurant on the corner and watch me. He watched as I ate and chatted with my husband the entire time. Not a fan. Super creepy. I will definitely not visit...
Read moreI was in the area and spotted this place and thought I would check it out for a light dinner after work. Now I hesitate to give five stars on the first time I visit because I am only trying a couple of things from a menu but the fact that they drained the fish cerviche well enough before they put it on top of the tostada shell - that alone made me give five stars because it's something so many places get wrong. They also remembered to and ask whether I wanted mayo which is always a big no for me. The counter staff was friendly. The cerviche tostada and the grilled chicken soft street taco were both very tasty. Lots of meat on the taco, too. The salsa bar was nice and was happy to see potatoes in their pickled veggies and a separate tray of grilled jalapenos and serranos. Free chip is always nice. There is lots of seating and the music isn't too loud. I'd recommend they use closed caption on their TV as it is nice especially for solo diners All in all a very...
Read moreWe used to love this place but it seems the quality of the food is no longer there. The last two times we ordered food from DoorDash for pick up and when we got there they said our order was cancelled & needed to pay again& this last time we noticed they charged us a few dollars more for the same exact items. So I’m assuming they cancel the order on purpose to make those extra bucks.
I always used to order the camarones a la Diabla & it was the best I had ever had. The rice was also spectacular. Now, the beans look straight out of a can, the rice was dry & flavorless & the Camarones has NO flavor. They were basically just marinated in tomato oil. They also gave the wrong salsa on our chilaquiles AND we ordered two shrimp & got one shrimp one asada.
Also, the service was just as horrible. The guy lied & said we cancelled the order. 0/10 do not recommend anymore. Prices are also way too high for the...
