Panaderia Los Castillos — Restaurant in West St. Paul

This bakery offers such a variety of different Mexican goodies! I stopped in here recently and tried their flan which was delicious. As I was walking out, I noticed they also had chocolate flan which I knew I was going to have to try in the future. I stopped back in not even a day later and tried the chocolate flan along with a pineapple empanada. The flan was smooth and custardy while the cake was moist. The pineapple empanada was a bit dense and could have used a little more filling but it was still tasty. There is a lot to choose from here so you will probably find yourself wanting to keep coming...

Some of the most beautiful baked goods I've ever seen! I wish I took photos to share, but I bought just a random selection of stuff because it all looked so good. The place is cheap,too! We're talking a buck, 2 bucks max for giant puffy pastries. It's a small store, but they had a good selection. It's a Mexican bakery, so if you're coming for donuts and really sugary stuff, you're not going to find it here. I love Castillos Bakery! It's my go-to place when I want to bring pastries to work. I highly recommend the jalapeno cream cheese filled rolls. The pineapple filled pastries are fantastic, prices are VERY fair, and you can walk out with 25 pastries for a reasonable prices.
