I can't complain about the taste of the food because generally it's good.
My problem with this particular Rancherito's location is how many times I've been there only to have the order wrong or told something that's false.
This last time was the straw that broke the camel's back because I was also ordering for a co-worker, and I still get grief at work over how badly the order was missed.
A deep-fried Carne Asada burrito does not mean I want chicken over steak or that I want French fries in the burrito instead of having it deep fried. And that's not the first time an order like that has been butchered.
Also, I had a drive-thru attendant tell me during a visit a month ago that Rancherito's no longer sells ranchero burritos, but that's not true either, and ranchero burritos are still listed on the menu.
Lastly, the intercom system at the drive-thru at this location is absolute garbage. It's very difficult to understand what is being said for the atrocious echo it lets off every time you speak.
Needless to say, I probably won't go to this Rancherito's again until...
Read moreI had a bad experience last time I went. I ordered chile rellenos, which I paid for and they shorted me 40c on my change. I didn't fuss about it, saying to myself they could have a small tip. But 10min later they came up and told me that the didn't have chile rellenos that day. Well that about spoiled it for me, I love chile rellenos and enjoy the ones at rancheritos & similar chains even though I've tasted much better one's elsewhere. I sadly requested something else. Well in my opinion they should have been hurrying at this point. But it seems they didn't even start my new order right away.
The new item cost 1.50 less than my original order and I kept waiting for them to punch in the difference and hand me some money back. Finally, I had to hint that I wanted the price difference back. The problem is, since my order is $1 more expensive than the wrong order they billed me for, they decided start another transaction. Most restaurants with good conscience would let that slide and simply give me the order I asked for. Instead, they decided to bill me for every extras. Guacamole, which is normally included in a Carne Asada Burrito was not an extra. This isn't right. What is disturbing is that when I asked for a full refund instead, they took back the drink. Something about it made me feel like they would give it to the next customer who ordered it. They also asked what my order was and put it on the side instead of throwing it away. Good luck, you might be getting orders from previous customers who sent it back. Business economics 101, every dissatisfied customer is equivalent to losing 10 customers.
