West Valley City Skatepark — Attraction in West Valley City

I normally love this skate park for my kids and grandson but this evening when the ice cream truck/van hit the skate area and my grandson droppes his scooter and took off running. When he came back to the grass area (10 mins max) his scooter was gone. I hope whoever took it is really in needed or it is feeding a dream and has gone to help. If it went to someone being cruel and out for a gain karma will come at you. My grandson will live but is awfully sad and hurt case I always talk about how cool skaters are, how they look out for one another, and never would hurt a kid. Maybe it was a set up with the icecream man :) sad but tonight will always make us feel a little uncomfortable where we love...

This is a pretty amazing skatepark located in West Valley city. The skate park is large has many different features and terrain. There is a good flow on several different sides of the park even though it was crowded you could still ride and not worry about slamming into anyone. The park does need some more shade there are only about three trees around the skate park and several awnings over the benches but it could use much more. Once you roll around at speed, the park designers, intention becomes apparent. It’s evident that this place was designed for learning. There’s multiple sizes of every feature. The snake run and bowl, are mostly roll in with strategically placed coping. The transition is predominately, less than vert. The banks are wide and have a fairly mellow grade/steepness.
