Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in West Virginia

Update: after a drs visit, with this being my only meal recently, i have officially been food poisoned. Something needs to be done to make sure others do not go through this. Its already costed me more than what I could really afford due to being between insurances. A 10.00 meal costed me now a few hundred between medication and visit.

Previous post: I will say this, im very displeased at this location. This location for one doesnt dress in proper work attire, cause wearing those shorts are not part of the work attire. Also, if you are serving someone, dont look miserable. That goes for all the staff! Originally, i went on my lunch break for an order of chicken strips WITH GRAVY, and cheese curds with ranch instead of fries. They messed that up completely. 2 chickenstrips that were dried out, and a side of curds is one of the baggies, not a half of a baggie(i used to work DQ so i know) and the ranch was BAD! I thought “maybe its blue cheese” Nope. I was wrong. And u can tell when ranch is bad cause it was literally curdled. But anyways i called to let them know my issues. They said they would replace my meal. When i got there, it seemed like they didnt want to fix it but had to. Thats not correct customer service. What did i get this time? Nasty stale chicken and fries. but i got my gravy. Which was way too watered down. I never thought this location would have gotten as bad as it has. I always spoke so highly of this location. All i can say, for boxes of icecream, i may come back. For the chicken though, i dont think i ever will. I want to cry. I really do. I have vomited so much that im got sent home from work after i ate my original 2 pcs of chicken that was supposed to be 4 in my messed up meal. There needs to be some...

I stopped going to this place 3 years ago. I honestly wish I could rate this negative stars, I hate it so much. I had gotten the same thing almost every other week for 2.5 years, and they ALWAYS manage to screw up mine or someone else's. Who would ever SLAP PEANUT BUTTER ONTO THE HOT CHOCOLATE AND NOT EVEN MIX IT, THEN LIE. How disgusting. Then a pecan caramel cluster blizzard was often my second choice. This was messed up not as much, but comparable to the frozen hot chocolate. I should have gotten out of line and never came back. After this day, I did just that. The lady refused to tip it over because there was indeed, "too much caramel on it to tilt it over." Half of the blizzard was caramel syrup and little to no pecan flavouring / substance other than yes, caramel syrup. A blizzard is supposed to be thick and mixed, not just syrup and disappointment... Then just a single frozen hot chocolate. No peanut butter. "It's not on the menu. But there is a button for it. And people know how to make it." Jeesh. Dairy Creme corner needs to literally wreck this place and make it their own. That will show them how to make ice cream. You stand in that long line, you don't hear ANYBODY...

I've had the same slow horrible experiences at this DQ. I only live about 1.5 miles from this location, so its much closer than the downtown or any other DQ in the area. I went inside my first time, had no idea they had a drive thru until after I ordered. It took a long time to receive my two blizzards, probably at least ten minutes. I told then in advance I needed lids and something to carry them since I was taking them home. I had to tell them again when they said my order was ready. I went again last night, but thru the drive thru, which still took awhile and when I ordered the cotton candy blizzards, I'm told they are out of cotton candy. The cotton candy blizzard was just brought back recently and they are out of the cotton candy mix. I had to drive to the high st. DQ and the girl told me they had plenty of the cotton candy stuff, after I told her about my bad experience at the newer DQ location. I'll probably give them one more chance, but if the place still sucks, I'll just drive the extra miles to receive...
