September 2024 Update: It really varies from week to week with this location. I'm not sure if they have staffing issues or something similar but more often than not this Sonic Location is not accepting orders via the app. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but Sonic has put all promo codes and coupons behind the app. So no app, no discount.
For instance September 30th was the 79 cent promo for medium slushes. In the app I could add the coupon but the location was closed to mobile orders so I couldn't use the coupon. If this was a one-off instance perhaps it wouldn't be so noticeable but it seems this location turns off online ordering just about anytime Sonic does a promotion with a big discount.
Be aware when coming to this location there is more often than not a sign at the entrance state they are not taking orders at the pull up locations. The only way to get food is via the drive thru or via the app. But since the app ordering is turned off more often than not you're stuck behind the long line for the drive thru.
I really enjoy a limeade and used to get one after a Kroger trip each weekend. But since the only way for all-day happy hour is to use the app to order I haven't been ordering my weekly limeade lately. Its not that that regular price is unaffordable but more the principle of the matter that I can never use discount codes here or order ahead since app ordering is turned off anytime I try to buy food or drinks here.
Original Post: The food is fine, but it always seems to take a bit to get food. It's certainly better than McDonalds. Like most Sonics they have fantastic tater tots and limeades.
Update 1: In my most recent visit I didn't have a great experience. There was an issue of some kind with the screen for ordering. I pushed the button to order and it was a good 5 minutes before anyone picked up to take my order. After that I attempted to pay with a credit card at the booth and it would not accept either card I tried. Afterwards another woman tried with her card and was equally unsuccessful with her order. To wrap things up it was 15+ minutes before food was ready. It shouldn't be that hard to prepare a few hot dogs, fries and drinks for a couple people. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but it wasn't the greatest experience for me. I'll try again some other time down the road but right now I'll...
Read moreWe ordered from here for the first time on 3/8/24 @ 7:43 P.M. We spent $66.11 to feed a family of 5. First time trying and I'm certain this was close to the worst restaurant experience we have ever had! All the burgers were special (nothing crazy or difficult). There was a Footlong Quarter Lb Coney that was supposed to have Extra Chili & Extra Onions which was a $1.49 upcharge. Well it has almost no chili on it and no onions at all. Disappointed but I took a bite and the small amount of chili that was on it tasted like it was burnt. It tasted so bad I couldn't eat it. My husband ordered 2 SuperSonic BACON DOUBLE cheese burgers. Both burgers had zero BACON & both burgers had single patties despite being BACON DOUBLES IN THE NAME! My oldest 2 kids ordered the Quarter Pound DOUBLE cheese burgers. ADD BACON ($1.89 up charge), NO MUSTARD, NO PICKLES. They had the bacon but it was coal black bacon. They also came with MUSTARD, PICKLES, LETTUCE & ONIONS. The only thing that was correct on these burgers was the Ketchup. My kids refused to touch it. My youngest ordered a Sonic Cheeseburger. NO ONIONS, NO PICKLES, NO KETCHUP. IT HAD EVERYTHING ON IT! SHE ALSO REFUSED TO EAT IT. My husband said the burgers tasted weird. Like the generic frozen patties from the grocery store. The only thing that was halfway decent was the drinks we ordered. I sent in a comment letting them know how upset I was about the experience and the fact that $66.11 was wasted because the employees messed our entire order up. I received an email response that I found rather insulting. They offered me a $10.00 credit which I REFUSED. I'm insulted by the fact that they literally made an entire $66.11 order wrong and they think a $10.00 credit is going to reconcile that. I DECIDED BEFORE I GOT THE RESPONSE THAT WE WILL NOT TRY IT A SECOND TIME! I WAS PRETTY CLEAR ABOUT THAT IN MY INITIAL MESSAGE. THE FOOD WAS JUST PLAIN NASTY. I COULD HAVE LOOKED OVER THE ENTIRE ORDER BEING WRONG BUT THE FOOD WASN'T EDIBLE EVEN IF IT WOULD HAVE...
Read more*Update to prior review * So since I left my review couple months ago, we have ate here a few times. And I have to say wife & I have been impressed! Considering it looks like they may be somewhat short staffed, we didn't have any issue if it took a few minutes longer, actually added to the positive review. They came in and they made things happen. So we all see the picture perfect burgers on advertisements, when reality you get it & looks like it was run over by a truck when you get it. Tomato is a sliver and looks inedible, lettuce has no crisp and just flat out not appetizing what so ever. Ask for onion and get a crumb or two at best..Sonic M'town has stepped up their game, past few times we ordered there we have received good looking, and tasting burgers. That will keep us coming back. For us, its all about the value at the end of the day. Bidenomics has all of us suffering needlessly so to pay $10-15 for a burger/fry combo is hard to comprehend. If we feel like we at least got a value from the meal we will return again. Hard to find a value these days. Other burger joints hamburgers are the size of White Castles anymore..with a higher price tag! We get our bellies full from the mean we get there, that's the value we need. Hats off to you all, keep up the good work. Be proud of yourselves and we will be there often!
Keep in mind I already picked through the burger in picture to check it out, otherwise it was 1...
