Dairy Queen — Restaurant in West Virginia

the dairy queen on oakvale road is incredibly slow, they have terrible customer service, extremely poor management, and the employees have poor hygiene (ESPECIALLY THE COOKS). we waited over an hour before we got our food and when we did 2/3 of the food items were ICE COLD. we were also missing 2 items. there were 3 different tables complaining of the exact same thing. when we asked to speak to the manager he just offered to give us a refund. he didn’t apologize that we had to wait for over an hour or that our food was cold, or that we had food missing. the only thing he seemed to be concerned about was rushing us out of his face. i’m typically pretty understanding considering i also work at a very busy local restaurant, which actually in comparison is way busier any day of the week than dairy queen and we also have very few staff members there compared to dairy queen. but aside from any of that even i know that if there is an issue YOU FIX IT. you don’t push your customers out of your face. we are highly disgusted with dairy queen on oakvale road and we will not be returning ! this happened on April 23, 2022 at approximately 7:45pm.

In my opinion the main boss needs to fire every single one of the staff members including the manager and just hire all new ones!!! until you do that you are going to continue to lose a lot...

I have eaten at this location before without any problems. Today I went inside and ordered my food. There was only 2 cars in the drive-thru when I went inside, and there was no one in line and only 1 family setting down eating their food. I placed my order, and it took almost 20 minutes to get my food, and I had to ask them at that time if it was ready. The person that took my order said, "Oh yeah (like he forgot my order or something), let me look." When I asked about my order all the other employees were standing in the walkway going from the front line into the back grill area just talking. The only 2 people I really saw working was the girl working the drive thru window and the guy cooking burgers on the grill. So I get my food and go home ( I only live 5 minutes from this location). Once home, I set down to eat my food and the hotdogs were completely cold and the order of onion rings were terribly burnt. 90% of the onion rings were so burnt and hard I couldn't even eat them. I guess I will start going to the other location here...

My family decided to go to this one instead of the one on courthouse rd (only because courthouse rd was busy) we will not be making that mistake again. We ordered two hot dogs two medium fries 3 piece chicken tenders a burger and two drinks. Normally a slaw dog comes with what??? Slaw well they didn't which I'm fine with that's OK the burger my husband ordered you could probably play hockey with. The fries were lukewarm and the drinks well tasted like carbonated water. The only thing about the meal was that my sons tenders were decent. The girl in the drive thru had amazing manners and was really nice but the person who brought our food out lacked hygiene had stuff on his lips like he had just picked them or eaten something had a very rude expression and all he said was food...like we were taking him away from his cell phone for too long. Just an overall bad experience...
