Pownall's Bistro, LLC — Restaurant in West Virginia

I will start out by saying the seafood buffet was fantastic as well as the staff, however the Management/owner was very rude and unprofessional. We had reservations for 12 @5:00, arriving prior to that we were told we had no place to sit in dining room but could sit in the other room where we would have to walk into dining room to fill our plates from the buffet! I was not pleased with this and I asked for a manager, whom I found was also the owner. He came out asking in a tone what is the problem so I proceeded to say we had reserved seating for 12, he said reservations are only so they know how many to prepare for, which is the dumbest thing I have ever heard, no a reservation is reserved seating for your party, I began to speak again and he walked away from me! How unprofessional! We did manage to get seating in thhe dining room because several people had left in the meantime and the food was delicious but I think the Manager needs to take some lessons in...

This place has the BEST comfort food daily.their got case is out of this world daily. You can get fried chicken to meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy with Mac and cheese. I go there EVERY day for lunch. The service is ALWAYS GREAT and the good is even BETTER. I am so GRATEFUL that a place like this is still around. It's DEFINITELY better than a fast food stop for lunch.and much healthier. Thank you Pownalls for all you do. Keepi that comfort food coming!!!! Nice spot, lots of parking. The young lady at the register was exceptionally nice and professional. We got two pizzas. If you like cheese you’ll like this pizza. It has a ton of it. These pizzas are substantial, you’ll recognize that when carrying them to your car. I found the plain cheese pizza to be a little bland and in need of more sauce. These pizzas scream out for toppings and if you order them they do not skimp. The other pizza we got, sausage, was great. The extra flavor really elevated the pizza. Weirdly, we found them to be even better warmed up than fresh. Big thumbs up to this place for doing pizza a little different than the NY style that 90% of pizza places in Martinsburg do.
