Red Lobster — Restaurant in West Virginia

Tony asked me on a date, LOL ONLY because he wanted to go to Red Lobster to get some Shrimp...but Hey I wanted some too so I accepted. We got there about 1pm and it was busy but not overly crowded. We were greeted immediately by the Hostess and seated in the back of the restaurant. I always prefer this, I hate to be up in front I always catch a draft from the door.

The waitress was very friendly and took our drink order. Tony went with Bud Light Big Draft Beer and I had Unsweetened Tea with Lemon and Lime. We both ordered the same thing, we normally do!!! Or we share but this time we were both greedy and wanted our own platters. Our choice included Butterfly Shrimp, Bay Scallops, Clam Strips and Flounder with Cheddar Bay Biscuits, we both Chose the Broccoli but Tony went with Cole Slaw and I went with the Quinoa Rice. We chatted while we waited on our food, She brought the yummy biscuits and Tony's Cole Slaw which I had to taste it looked so YUMMY, I love the big Shredded Chunky Slaw and it was delicious so He gave me some...YUMMY While waiting for the rest of the food I used the little monitor on the table and signed up for their Free REWARD Program..Shortly our Food arrived and OMG it looked wonderful. A beautiful Golden Brown Crispy Color and it was so delicious. We both could tell the grease used was clean because it had such a fresh taste to it. The flounder was my favorite but it was all good. I got filled up and had to get a doggie bag which made my leftovers my evening dinner..Total with taxes and tip was only $60 with $7 of it being her tip. We visited the Parkersburg, WV location the evening of 7/19/18. Upon arrival, it seemed our server, Amanda D. was clean and pleasant at first, however this quickly changed when her boyfriend was seated at the booth behind us. Throughout our hour long visit, she continuously brought her boyfriend free food and drink before serving and tending to us. We ordered calamari which arrived to us undercooked and mushy. When we addressed this with Amanda and asked for it to be sent back and removed from our bill, she looked at it and began eating it making us feel as though we had done something wrong. As we were waiting for our food, Amanda was sweeping the floor around us and yelling at her boyfriend "David" because he was clearly under the influence of a narcotic and going in and out of consciousness at the table. They were both cussing and making very vulgar comments back and forth to one another. When our food finally arrived, it was disgusting. We ordered the Admirals Feast which arrived undercooked and with over half of the food missing. The other meal, Seaside Shrimp Trio was dry like it had been sitting under heat lamps for an extended period of time. We felt as though since we had already sent the appetizer back, we didn't want to create more of an issue so we got boxes and left as soon as possible. We wanted to ask for a manager, but it was clear that any complaint would have fallen on deaf ears as the employees were behaving as though they were in the privacy of their own homes and not at their place of emoyment. Very disappointed in the service yesterday afternoon. We had been cleaning up from the high water yesterday and wanted to grab a quick bite to eat not wanting to hit a drive thru so we decided to stop in and sit down for awhile the restaurant was very slow and our server "Rob" was not into waiting on his tables yesterday. First no i don't think my 77 year old mother wants a cold beer after asking for coffee. She asked for coffee not beer. Short answers.sarcastic and unprofessional attitude is all we could seem to get from mr Rob. After getting out salads with 3wrong dressings we eat them anyway no biggie. Our food comes in a decent time but if I order my steak medium I want medium not raw. Still no sight of Rob. Drinks are empty we was never asked "how is everything, can I warm up your coffee? Would you like a refill on your tea? Nothing then wouldn't you know me Rob shows up not to see if we needed anything or a refill but can I get you something sweet to eat? No only to get a eye roll. Yes yes he did. Still no can a get you a refill or warm up your coffee. But was more than happy to bring us a bill yes it was 52.26 no biggie but the service defintly makes you not want to come back when you are made to feel like your a bother more than a customer.. we will be back .
