I ordered a stove around Thanksgiving 2017, the man that I talked to when I ordered it was very friendly and helpful. That is the only good thing that came out of the experience. It was around Thanksgiving so it was going to take a little longer to receive at the store, I understand that and that was not a problem. The problem stated when the stove came into the store damaged. Things shift and sometimes break during shipping, I understand this as well, but what I don't understand is why nobody bothered to call me and inform me that my stove have to be reordered. Not only didn't the fail to call me about it, when I stopped in a week later to check and see if there was any progress the woman at customer service said that it should be there in a couple days, which I was ok with and went on my way. When I stop back in almost another week later and ask if it has come in and they failed to call me, a different woman at the customer service counter couldn't even find where it had been reordered, she said it would be at least another week before it would be there. So at this point, almost a month later, still no stove and being lied to about it being reordered, I asked for a refund to go somewhere that would actually want to sell me a stove. The woman was very nice about it and got my information to pass on to management so they could contact me about the problem, but wouldn't you know it, I never heard a word from them. I guess their phones only ring in and they can't dial out? I went to Sears and ordered my stove, I had it in my house installed in less than a week. Sears, of all places, delivered on their promise, something this Home Depot could not do. Long story short, if you want something from this location, hope they have...
Read moreWe stop here a lot. Customer service is hit or miss. A few times lately big miss.
We had gotten something a few days earlier needed a second and couldn’t remember what isle location. Ask an employee who gets rude telling me I don’t know what I’m talking about they’ve never sold that there. So ended up getting it from a competitor.
Then a few days later. Went to get stone for landscaping and we were told we needed to literally push a cart from inside to outside for multiple trips that they wouldn’t open the loading area doors.
Maybe your understaffed but to expect me to hand load a pallet worth of bags of rock that way was a bit much. Like how many times do you want to lift what a 50lb bag of rocks? Off the palette onto a cart, push the cart through the hole store then unload again in the truck. You can only stead the flat carts with so much on them to begin with.
No offer to even help load at all. While countless employees are literally standing and chatting with each other. Not even an offer to say hey we can’t right now but could we schedule some time later or tomorrow to pickup.
Call me a Karen if you want, I took my business elsewhere for all the rock I needed. It was a lot.
Needs some serious customer service retraining. It’s not hard to make a customer feel like they had a decent experience even when something they need can’t be done.
Continuing with local competition because my times just as valuable as anyone else’s and I’m not wasting a day hand loading 300 bags or more of anything when theirs staff available that’s just not...
Read moreCame here for some things, left some things behind because of staff constantly asking me if I need help. Couldn't look at tool sets without being repeatedly asked if I needed help. Went by the grill section, took a pic and asked my girlfriend her opinion on a few. While waiting for her response an older employee came up to ask if I needed help, of which I declined. Less than a minute later, she came back to ask again. I decided to go walk around the grill/outdoors area while waiting for my girlfriend, the same employee seemed to follow me. When I stopped and looked in her direction, she stopped and appeared to arrange things. The same online pickup employee asked me three times if I needed help. Couldn't decide between two different tool sets without being asked about four times in two minutes if I needed help. The aforementioned online pickup employee caught me on my way out to ask if I needed help. Was it because I wore a ball cap? Funny, plenty of other customers in ball caps. I'll stick with Lowe's or do my...
