I don't get a chance to eat out as much as I would like to. That's mostly due to budget restrictions. So when I do go out, Im drawn to places that I KNOW I'm going to have a positive experience. That's the category B&B is in. Nestled in a Westerly marina, the exterior is full of nautical reminders. As you drive in you are greated by a parking lot of white seashells. Parking just a few feet from the river, where the the white hulled weekender's are lined up waiting for their next seafaring adventure! Inside you will find a clean, modest dinning room, with natural wood floors, that can get noisey. The walls are appointed in a melange of 20th century Americana. The colour scheme and atmoshere is fun, yet calming. As always the well experienced host and waitstaff indulged our every desire with punctual excellence. The fare is delicious, appropriately apportioned and locally sourced. Known as the "best burger in Westerly", some other mentions of note are the "Barbe-cuban," and the chili made with the chefs own fresh garden Jalapenos(heat). It is a little pricey but comparative to the area. So, if you know you're eating out and you know you want a good food at a good price in a relaxed environment. Then YOU KNOW you can go to B&B Dockside! See you there.

I enjoyed the food the presentation was done well. The french fries weren't as crispy as I prefer them but they were okay. I like the fact that they were using a Portuguese roll instead of a standard role for the hamburger. I tried the chili it was decent but it wasn't anything exceptional it would have been a good chili for hot dogs. They have outdoor seating here and overall I enjoyed going here. They do offer some unique menu items I did not change but if you have a hankering they have some waffles or hamburgers which include the use of peanut butters the topping. I've heard they are quite good. When I was in Hawaii I had hot dogs with peanut butter which was offered by a local establishment in Hawaii so it's worth trying if you like to try something different. Maybe next time I'll give it a shot when I'm there. I am looking forward to going back to this location to try the breakfast which I missed this time and had lunch instead. I've heard really good reviews about the breakfast.

B&B Dockside has a beautiful environment, but unfortunately their food and service were subpar. They are set right on the dock and have lovely decor. We sat outside and were given our drinks, (notably very small sodas with no refills) but were confused when our server suddenly kept switching to another person. After a bit of a wait we got our food, which had a nice presentation. The breakfast burritos were ok, packed with toppings but extremely salty and dry with undercooked hashbrowns. We got a KT burger as well (although not pictured below), and it was very bland, even with the KT sauce. The best was probably the pancakes, which were cakey and sweet. Once we finished, we received our receipt and found that we were charged extra for something we didn’t order. We waited for the waiter to return, but ultimately had to go inside to have it corrected. Overall, great atmosphere, but they need to beef up their service.

We love this place. The burgers are creative and always tasty. I'm a big fan of a fried egg on a burger. The sides are always very good. Great french fries and one of the few places you can get fries gravy and cheese, it's not an everyday side dish but it's so good when we do order a plate. The atmosphere is a bit unique, because it's a restaurant in a boat yard, but it's really enjoyable inside the restaurant. And I always enjoy checking out the boats on the river. My wife and I stopped recently for a quick salad, We have been married 28 years, so we make a point of not talking to each other when we are out. We have noted the behavior of older couples and made sure we follow suit. No talking, no eye contact, and absolutely no touching of any sort. We are only allowed to engage the wait staff for ordering purposes. We have to break our own rules each time we go to the B&B. Last time, we both commented on the freshness or our Oak Street Wedge and Oak Street Salad. So very good. The bar is modestly stocked but with most of the common high end bottles and they have a very nice draft and bottle selection. The staff is always polite and timely and the food always looks nice on the plate and is prepared well. We have been about six times and we have never been disappointed. The place closes early so if you're going for dinner check the schedule. For Lunch there aren't many that do it as well. Breakfast is a rarity for me but I have stopped there twice. I always do eggs and a side, always good always very...

We don't live locally but we come to this part of Connecticut once a summer. We stumbled upon B&B Dockside last year, and we made a point of returning this year. Both times we have had excellent service, delicious food, and a wonderful time sitting outside and relaxing. The staff is consistently polite, attentive, and happy. We started with the fried pickles last year and got them again this visit - piping hot, crispy and tasty. Our burgers - because there's nothing better than sitting outside with a burger and a beer - were perfectly prepared and a nice size. We had a standard Oak Burger, a "Fun Guy" (mushrooms and Swiss), and a Pitmaster (topped with BBQ pork and cheddar) and all three were fabulous. Personally, I recommend the fresh potato chips, but the fries were just as yummy. If you are in the area and looking for a place to relax with a burger and a drink, this is the spot you want. Just don't forget the fried pickles! Thanks to everyone at B&B Dockside, and we'll see you on...
