Went there for lunch with a friend on Sunday 5/16/21 around 4pm. It’s a cute little place and the host Sue was super friendly and nice. We sat outside and between my friend and I we ordered 6 dishes (yup we were hungry after a 7 miles hike!!). Every. single. Dish. Was. Delicious!!! I am vegan and they accommodated my requests and I had the Massaman curry, pineapple fried rice and their summer roles, my friend had steak, traditional fried rice and pad Thai and said her dishes were awesome as well. The hot ginger tea also hit the perfect spot! The portion sizes are beyond generous and we both ended up with enough to go boxes for the next 3-4 meals... yeah our hunger was much bigger than our stomachs 😅 And the price were pretty reasonable considering the portion sizes and that they were dinner prices. I paid $45 (minus tip) and oh!! Did I mention I loved the curry so much I had another order to go (and all the left over I couldn’t finish)... I know when I love a dish 😂 Highly recommended How does one add a...
Read moreWe ordered the Siam Combo (replaced the Crab Rangoons with additional Por Pia), Gang Massaman Curry, and Gang Luang Curry. Of the appetizers, the curry puffs are incredible, and if I didn't order the combo, would order those on their own. The shrimp blanket and por pia are good too, just a tier lower than the curry puffs. Both the massaman and yellow curries are delicious, but the yellow has the edge on flavor. The helpings are quite hearty and you get your bang for your buck.
The ladies running this place are friendly and efficient. I was in awe at how well they balanced everything going on in the restaurant.
Corner Thai Cafe has a small internal dining room (about five tables) and outdoor seating (around seven tables). It's quaint with plenty of parking for the shared shopping strip it's in. There are different prices based if you eat in or take it to go (3% added I believe to dining in), and also additional fees for paying with cash or card. It's a quaint Thai restaurant and I would...
Read moreNew management and a new cook. Not the same amazing experience as before. Very nice people, and great service, but not the top level Thai cuisine experience it used to be. We're Thai aficionados, and we were disappointed enough that we won't be going back. The chicken sate was soggy. The yellow curry was weirdly sweet. The appetizer soup was totally off - I mean, it was like they'd opened a can of corn and poured the corn with juice as the base. It was more like American vegetable soup than anything else. Go eat there and make up your own mind, but understand that all the old 5 star reviews are totally meaningless. The food was perfectly edible, and the staff was very, very nice, so I gave it three stars. It just isn't 4 or 5 stars in my book (sigh, I used to love...
