We were excited to check out Los Altos after being disappointed with the previous ownership (Blue Santa). We were there for lunch and the lunch menu was very reasonable for entrees ($9-$15). Our group enjoyed the food (chips and salsa provided) and the environment was very easy to talk, as there is plenty of space and it was not noisy. You Should Try This Place If: If you enjoy trying new restaurants and enjoy Mexican food, I recommend a visit as the food was good! This is a great restaurant to stop by for a simple date night or a good place if you have a larger group who want to be able to talk together. It May Not Be for You If: If you're looking for a cute local cantina to visit regularly this may not be for you, as the dining environment is not very lively and there are no great happy hour and drink specials (Margs run $10-$15). Edit: We went back again on March 1st and they now have weekly running specials as well as daily happy hour from 3-6! Overall: If you're interested I think you should try it out and see for yourself as the food is great! However, if you're looking for a lively cantina vibe or a classy dining experience this may not be the place.

3/28/25 A weekend getaway and a night out for dinner. And my wife and I decided on Los Altos by searching Mexican restaurants. Which turned out to be a good choice. To start was your usual tortilla chips and salsa and we added on some queso dip that had a bit of a bite. My wife had a chicken quesadilla and a chicken chalupa. I went for the T-bone steak with shrimp on top and rice and refried beans. Her chalupa was covered with lettuce and tomatoes and sour cream. She said it was really good. Unfortunately she filled up on to much chips and queso and took home the quesadilla. My steak was well seasoned and tender, shrimp and rice and beans was delicious also. And a Blueraze frozen margarita to wash it down. Very friendly waitress that was on top of it. Restaurant seemed to be an old movie theater possibly. I would definitely give Los Altos a try if your in the area.

Of note: you pay a fee to use credit cards../so take case to avoid paying extra. Chips and salsa were good. Queso dip was good. They burned my meal and replaced it hastily. I thought the side plates of rice, quacamole, sour cream and lettuce/pico is about half the size of most other Mexican spots and they have lots of blue agave branding in use still. The fajitas were not a heaping amount but much smaller than typically at a higher price point. All in all the are still new - The drinks are a big show. I'd love a $12 skinny margarita option without all the fanfare- I'm an adult and don't need the party in my drink...it looks nice, but all the junk on top is a distraction for me. It's cute once.

This place was amazing! I was visiting my sister and she lives 4 min from here. She said it had been a few different restaurants in the few years she lived there. She said the last one was so dark inside she didn't enjoy the experience and never planned on going back to that space. I convinced her we should try it anyway because we both wanted Mexican and from the reviews it looked great. We were both so happy we decided to try it. It isn't dark inside at all. It is bright and welcoming. There are no windows but they did a wonderful job making it feel light and open inside. The chips and salsa were delicious. The chips were thicker which I really like. We ordered the table side guacamole, which I thought was way too salty but was still good. Next time I'd ask for them to not put salt in it and I'd add my one. For our meals I went with the chicken chimichanga and my sister did a quesadilla with a side of beans. She loved her quesadilla and my chimichangas were excellent. You get two small ones plus rice and beans. One was perfect for me since we had chips and salsa and guacamole so I took the other one home and it reheated well the next day. I also ordered a house margarita. It was happy hour so was on special. When I saw her walking our way with a margarita I thought there was no way that one was mine because I just ordered a normal one. But she set it down at our table! It was so fun! They decorate it with flowers, flags, umbrellas, straws and toys . It made me laugh. I loved it. The margarita was perfect too. Sometimes they will have too much sour mix and be gross and give me a headache. This one did not do that. It was very nice. We had the best experience here. Our server was very sweet and attentive. We never wanted for anything. I hope this place does well and is still there next time I visit because I would love to go back. Be warned the menu is HUGE so could be overwhelming. I have my go to so it was easy for me but if you have a hard time making decisions good luck. There's a lot of good looking menu items...

The food was good, not great. I’ve had better tortilla chips at other Mexican places for sure. The service was sub-par. I ordered a Tableside Guacamole appetizer, which they never served. When they brought our meals I mentioned that we never got the tableside guacamole, and they brought out a pre-prepared bowl of guacamole. We had to stop someone to ask for a refill of chips and later had to stop someone again for refill of waters and salsa. We had to flag someone down to ask for checks, and they charged for tableside guacamole even though it was pre-prepared (which costs less). They also served (and charged me for) a 20-oz house margarita when I never specified I wanted the larger size (normal is 16 oz) and they never asked me what size I wanted. I wanted to get the check updated to correct the tableside guacamole, but it took so long to get our checks in the first place and even longer for someone to stop back again that I didn’t even bother. I doubt I’ll...
