Food is always good. Ordered food last evening and needless to say not impressed with service at all.
I purchased a tea when I walked in and had told the gentleman I had a to go order when I did so. I spilled some tea as i was filling my cup and asked for napkins to clean up my mess at which point the manager spoke to me and told me they would get it. I wanted to clean up my mess, as I did it. It never got wiped up while I was in there.
Meanwhile I must have interrupted their conversation about how the owner watches them on camera when they he/she isn’t there. Once that conversation ended, I am standing at the carryout counter, that same manager and another employee (pretty sure it was the employee that had just rang me up for my tea that i told i had a to go order) walked past to go into the kitchen, came back out looked right at me and went back to the other end.
I then watched that same employee go back into the kitchen and ignore me again to take the empty Silverware holders he had emptied.
I could see my order sitting behind the counter. Not wanting to step back there and grab it myself as, I had already paid online, I waited.
Meanwhile another customer walked up as the employee came out of the kitchen. The gentleman was immediately greeted and asked the name on his order as I stood there still waiting.
He was told his order wasn't ready yet and the employee started to walk off still not addressing me. The manager than came down carrying the other gentleman's order At this point, I said can someone please hand me my order?
I completely understand if they were busy, it can get hectic, but ignoring someone on multiple occasions is not okay.
Probably should watch conversations manager and employees are having in front of customers too. Owners watch employees on camera because they invest big amounts of money into their businesses and can't trust managers and employees not to take advantage of them or not acting professionally when they aren't there.
I know it's hard to get employees right now, but was really disappointed in my experience last evening and wanted to make sure the OWNER knew about what...
Read moreWe have a tea pass, meaning we pay monthly for 1 tea per day. Many times when they are busy, when you show the employees the tea pass, they just hand you a cup. No scan. Just "Here you go."
But this past Saturday I went in and had all my kids with me. It was a hectic morning. I showed the employees my tea pass, but was told "Sorry, our systems are down."
I said "It's kinda stressful right now with my kids - can you just give me a cup since you can see I am a subscriber?"
They told me "no" and that I would have to wait 15 minutes for the systems to come up.
Inconsistent, rigid, and rude. Close minded thinking not pointed towards good service. Could have taken care of a customer but instead created a bad experience.
When it suits them (I.E. they are too busy) they will hand you a cup and not scan your tea pass. But when their systems go down they are happy to make customers stand there and wait with their kids.
Make up your minds and serve...
Read moreMy dad and I have an ongoing joke where we exaggerate the size of the spud we got, because it is quite a tater (2, actually). This is the best sweet tea in town, 99% of the time (occasionally it gets that "old tea" taste, off hours typically). The salads are good, the sandwiches are as well (not quite as filling as the taters), and the taters (of which I only get the spud MAX), are superb, again, 99% of the time (sometimes the outside is really burnt, but rarely so.) My recommendation - get a spud, and a "cup of rotel on the side" (NOT on the tater). Eat the good stuff out the tater, fill with butter/sour cream, eat more, fill with "rotel", eat the skin and all! Its like 3 taters for the price of 1! The new rewards system is a bit annoying, seemingly for the cashiers as well as the customers, as there are these codes they put in, and no meaningful feedback (such as spend 5$ more to your...
